Lately I have been getting into Warhammer 40,000. In that game is a species called "Tyranids" who use creatures called "Genestealers" to infiltrate societies, destroy economies, control governments, and incite civil war, all on a global scale. Well looking at the news lately you have economic recessions yet again, Libya and Egypt blowing themselves up, and politicians who couldn't find their toes if they smashed them against a table leg.

Always makes me laugh when fiction offers perfect explanations to real world questions with a hint of doomsday involved. Don't you love it when science fiction does a better job explaining reality than reality ever could?

Man I'm still trying to get over how Deep Space 9 did a great job of portraying the bad side of the war on terror. The episode when Star Fleet tried to take over Earth, I mean it would be more relevant of the civil side was actually objecting to militant control but still.
