In terms children may understand. Ever played Monopoly? when you go broke you sell your luxurious hotel or property to pay off the other player. The problem with America is that we are just force to buy, buy, buy and buy. We are a society of buying as we are brainwashed by the media to buy more cars, homes, electronics, refrigerators. etc. We are a society ruled by BUYING. Never selling..why? because we are attached to things and can never let them go. Nothing belongs to anybody and selling something to pay for another is not a bad thing. Lets brainstorm and see what we can sell. If we were to sell off many of the things we have, we could pay the debt. Think like selling on Ebay.
We should not sell gold - it has a loooong way to go up! We can't sell American electronics - there aren't any! Mexico would probably CHARGE us for Texas, but maybe China would drop some cash for it as a WestWorld vacation spot for all their new millionaires! Otherwise, sell stuff! The USA garage sale is already in motion! Our steel, computer, appliance, electronics, auto companies and much more went cheap (We PAID China to take them over!) We may as well dump the rest.

Some people say Ron Paul is ridiculous. It's all perspective! My polls are different, but serve a purpose. It's always simple.
Ron Paul has everything to do with your poll. With his ideas manufacturing jobs can come back to the states, other industries will emerge and therefore more revenue will be created leaving the debt a problem of the past. We are the vampire of the world, that costs money, duh.
Selling ideas is not going to get us out of debt. Let me give you an example. I sell star wars collectibles on EBAY...and they sell well because people want them. I use that money to pay off debt. The poll is about what America can sell...to pay off the debt...Not spend more, but sell more. I think it's about time we make someone other countries want to buy. And we have to be willing to give up some things and sell. I would start by selling our old military equipment for spare parts.

Sell the national parks. Sell advertising space on the Capitol Mall and along the interstate highway system. Sell the Navy to China. Sell the Air Force to India. Put Congresswomen out on the street to peddle their asses. Same thing with Congressmen.

Uncle Sam owns 1/4 of all the land in the US. There's no reason for that. Sell all but ~5% of it and collect property taxes after the sales. It's the gift that keeps on giving. Also, mineral and oil rights are a good way to generate income for Uncle Sam. We should end Slick Willy's sweetheart deal with the Chinese and open up our clean coal regions in the West, for example.
