Which leads back to the whole issue of maga.

It never really has been great. To find that date one would have to start looking after the Jim crow era.

You really think some white Jewish folk, like that we see in Israel today, is the type of ppl that toiled 12 hours a day, 365 days a year in the baking sun and didn't all die from skin cancer?

The primary reason for the economic boom of the 50s and 60s was the fact that virtually every nation other than us was devastated after WWII. We had no real competition until the 70s.

The “Jewish folk” in Israel are mostly from Europe. There are many dark skinned Jewish people from elsewhere. Do you think the Jewish people who fought the Romans were light skinned?

Those Jews that fought the Romans were either slaughtered, sent to africa to work in the mines in Roman Egypt or if they were young and strong, sent to the gladiatorial events across the Roman empire.

You seem to think the Romans were a lot more efficient that I do. Here's a guy for you to hate, or perhaps admire, the Emperor Titus. His dad Vespasian was fighting the Jewish Wars when he found out that he might "grab the purple" and become emperor in 69 AD. Vespasian left Titus to finish things up and went to Rome where he became a very successful emperor. Work began on the Roman Colosseum while Vespasian reigned and was finished under Titus.

Thank you, now that I have a clearer image of what happened I sort of remember it too. It's quite a different situation than what Hamilton was portraying.

those two guys were responsible for the massacre of over 1 million Jews during the wars, according to flavius Josephus, I'm sure you're aware.

Titus, if I'm correct, was the man who sent Judah into exile in the Iberian peninsula.

They were efficient. The Roman empire is arguably the most influential (good or bad influence) in history up until today. I'm not a fan btw but iDo recognise much of their positives, they, along with the Irish, pretty much civilized us Brits.

He boycotted the Russian Olympics because Russia had invaded Afghanistan. I wish Dubya had learned the leassons Russia were schooled in from their invasion of Afghanistan.
Regan has benefited more from revisionist history more than any other president until tRaitor tRump. What doesn't "amount to much" is Reagan's presidency. He more than any single individual in our history contributed to the difficulties that The United States has been going through since he was president.
IF we would have continued our support, uninterupted by the tRumpublican house, the Ukrainians would have won the war this year.
Once Putin invaded Ukrain our involvement was totally UNavoidable.
They? Are you talking about the insurrectionists that defaced, the most beautiful public building in the world, OUR Capitol? Immigrants built this Country, and would like to help continue to build this Country to even greater heights.

    When WAS America great?

In the 1940's and 50's. It has been downhill since.

History of Egypt says they never had slaves.

    ...
The people who lived on and worked the land were not free to leave and were obliged to work it, but they were not slaves; most paid a proportion of their produce to major officials. Free citizens who worked the land on their own behalf did emerge; terms applied to them tended originally to refer to poor people, but these agriculturalists were probably not poor. Slavery was never common, being restricted to captives and foreigners or to people who were forced by poverty or debt to sell themselves into service. Slaves sometimes even married members of their owners’ families, so that in the long term those belonging to households tended to be assimilated into free society.

Not unless one is going to argue the earth is only 6000 yrs old.
Which not many people believe that today.

I'd imagine the 6,000 reference is from when the Israelites believe they were born

No where in my linked article does it say they had slaves, dating back to at least 3000BCE
And no pyramid shows water damage from the world wide flood the bible writes about.

    No.
That is what biblical scholars estimate the age of earth, based on Adam and Eve until the birth of Christ.
Based on name of those who begat whom.
But to reach even 6000 yrs, some of those biblical characters had to live 900 or so years.

But the truth is, 6000 yrs ago is likely when recorded civilization started appearing in that area.
10,000 yrs is when some civilizations show up in North America and even South America.

And what sources does your linked article provide [since it's not a primary source in and of itself]?

I'm asking because iCan pull up primary sources of Polybius and Josephus as testament to Ptolemaic and Roman use of slaves in their Egyptian provinces.

Although, if we're talking AEgypt (native rule) then I'm not doubting your assertion, merely because iDont want to believe it lol. I'll let someone else make that case, for political reasons of course ;-)

    Britannica.
It's once was the most recognized Encyclopedia in the USA if not the world.

It's not a primary source, you know this, it was created in 1768.

They use primary sources. Which ones did they use for your article though, is my question.

It started going downhill in the 60's, however I would be happy as hell if we could go back to at least the 70's.
