They have to recognize that letting this ruling slide will destroy the entire presidental election process.

But I guess they will just stop the elections and keep power when every state starts removing people from ballots based on their own definitions and unconstitutional convictions of insurrection. Maybe it's they excuse they are hoping to create for themselves.

Trump was the one that made a deal with the Taliban and left the Afghan Gov out of the deal making

you know it went better than expected as Trump was trying to claim credit

"Trump complained on a radio show that the media spent 'all night' Sunday covering the devastation wrought by Hurricane Ida instead of his 'great agreement' with the Taliban"

Where does he say attack the capital? I'm 'fighting' right now to save the country. Are you so disingenuous to pretend that means I'm suggesting that I am literally 'fighting?'

What about the numerous other messages on Twitter about we are the party of law and order and then to stand down that leftist organizations and radicals conviently hid from the public?
    https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1346904110969315332?t=p5jeCjFZKvqXhjerSesj1A&s=19

    https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1346912780700577792?t=JWUrschidFmjejtOjzQieg&s=19

    And then after?
    https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1347334804052844550?t=fVyZQNMsgiLsjoF8nMlM-g&s=19

This is what the left calls an insurrectionist?

Niether him or Trump were convicted under due process or by the senate for that 'Federal Statute. So neither should be stricken from the ballot but if the left wing radical judges rule that's no longer the standard... End of elections and death to democracy is the end result

He did not have to say those words ( as they would have gotten him even more trouble).......but his devotees interpreted his aggressive language to do just that and DID.......as we all saw. We all saw him RESIST telling them to stop for several hours as he watched them on TV.

Afghan Gov isn't the USA. No such thing as insurrection against our allies. And the deal was to save American lives by preventing them from attacking American Troops so how is that rebellion or aiding the enemy?

with due respect, that is more than a little dramatic. They have made a definitive message with this ruling for Trump. Where it goes from here is still unknown.

100% agree that the Trump deal with the Taliban was not an Insurrection, but it was dumb not to include the Afghan gov

The riot started before his speech so that defeats your claim and also he has a first amendment right to encourage people to fight for their country peacefully and patrioticaly. No court can punish him for excersizing that right.

Also, he responded within 30 minutes when the riot got out of hand and entered the capital. The timestamps are on the tweets.

You'd like to think they would get that, but seriously, when is the last time a liberal justice has ever bucked the party that nominated them? It's already happened a number of times with the Trump appointed jurists, but almost never does it happen on the other side. The aforementioned case may not have been quite as open and shut as this one is, but pretty close.

I'm not sure if Jackson weighed in on the student loan case, but I know that all the progressives who did, tried in unison to permit an obviously illegal action from a Democrat president. If they surprise me and return a unanimous reversal, I'll owe them an apology, but I'd be surprised if at least 2 of them don't vote to let it stand. Wouldn't shock me if all 3 do. This is a great opportunity for them to gain back some of the credibility they've lost. Look for them not to take advantage of it.

Insurrection is defined by the federal Statute and the co court has no authority to rule on it or convict trump under that federal Statute. Especially since Trump was already acquitted by the senate.

It s very simple - do the same thing to Biden that Crew did to Trump. Get a group of voters to bring a civil suit to challenge eligibility

Irrelevant. They have no authority under the constitution to do so.

Then it goes to the court of appeals……wait! They did that and guess what? The court of appeals found the court DID have the authority
