    truth here
if only people got the basic thing: when government does something, it overpays, and the thing is does has 0 incentive to be done well
is it any wonder that simply lowering government spending on anything helps everyone enjoy more goods at lower price
    simple

Are you talking about the fed that was created with the 1913 federal reserve act and gets audited by congress. The fed that hands over its profits to the United States Treasury? The fed where the board is nominated by the president and confirmed by the senate?

0.o yea probably not the government..... lol

The Fed is a private enterprise chartered by the government to issue currency and oversee the monetary system. The government has no control over the Fed beyond appointing some of its directors and receiving its incidental profits. Neither the President nor the Congress can tell the Fed what to do. It is a private business that does whatever it deems necessary according to the requirements of its charter, which are primarily to oversee the banking system, control inflation and unemployment.

The remit of the Fed is to maintain the stability of the monetary and banking system regardless of the President and the Congress. It may be, in your mind just another government agency acting at the whim of the President and the Congress but that is a huge mistake. While the government may appoint a chairman that agrees with their ideology, that is no guarantees that the Fed will act in their interests.
