How and where are they going to be "processed" and how are they going to learn English.
It would be easier and cheaper to help them in the countries where they already are. Do we really think we can solve world poverty by bringing in every single person who is poor? If you do that, it won't be long before your country starts looking a lot like the countries where these migrants are coming from.
Thats why they wont settle them in Canberra. Go to Goodna in Brisbane and youll see a lot of Sudanis. Go to Logan and every day a house burns down..another slum suburb..... I noticed on my link that some refugees have been settled in Logan... Wouldnt live there for quids.....

It depends on whether you believe the posts about whether these people are coming for economic reason or for safety reasons.
Well, what do you think... A lot of them are fit, able bodied young men, and they seem to be complaining as though its their right to complain about the lack of facilities....when they, in fact should be grateful, and have no right to complain....

Read the title of your thread, then read the the comment to which I was responding to, and then read your response to my response. Anyway, your first link suggests that most refugees come from war torn countries, your second link suggest post traumatic stress related to issues surrounding being a refugee.
All Im trying to do is make a comparison between the problems that they are experiencing in Germany, and suggesting, just suggesting, that maybe we are going to experience the same problems if we have these refugees settle in Australia. I dont think you have to be an Einstein to work that out... The other responses to the thread seem to understand what I am saying. The post traumatic stress of half the refugees amounts to a mental disorder, which would be experience by the refugees coming to Australia...hence another issue for the Australian Government to deal with...I wonder what diseases they may be carrying also...this has disaster written all over it for Australia....and you cant work that out....maybe you should PM Independant Thinker or vman12 or Anders Hoveland.....

One thing is for sure. You don't have to be a bloody genius to know all these foreigners will be allocated Public Housing properties before any of Australia's 300,000 homeless, or the any of the 1,000,000 Australians on the Public Housing waiting lists. Its time for Australians to stop being so gutless and yellow in allowing their tax money to be spent on supporting public housing for foreigners, before their own homeless and desperate citizens. No wonder foreigners are flocking to Australia under the disguise as refugees and asylum seekers, when they know Australians will give them welfare and accommodation over their own citizens.
We could find a mostly uninhabited island and take all the criminals and dump them ther.....oh wait, nm (Intended purely as humor)
