While I don't buy into your religious talk, there is actually a grain of truth to this.

Apologies for the rant, but I need to vent:

After I got my two shots of the AstraZeneca vaccine, the nurse gave me a certificate declaring I am fully vaccinated. A few days later, I am told that the paper certificate (which I carry in a folder) will NOT grant me access into the movie theater. What I need to get is a government smartphone app declaring that I am fully vaccinated.

I have 2 problems with this:

1. It's discrimination against people without smartphones (yes such people exist) and I empathize with such people because I only got my smartphone in 2019 (shocking I know). So why does my government not mandate smartphones and pass them out for free?!

2. They changed the goalposts! I am fully vaccinated. So why did the nurses at the free vaccine lineup not install the app when I was there getting the jab?!

 

You really need to take a cup of 'calm down' tea.

For a start you should remember COVID was a new virus (in humans) and the vaccines we are using were first gen and rushed into distribution, which meant how long they would remain effective was an open question at the time of release. Researchers knew they worked that much is certain, how long for was always going to be a matter of gathering data afterwards. And now we know. They also weren't designed intentionally from the onset to be short duration. (Care to prove otherwise?)

Secondly expert opinion at the moment on how long the booster will remain effective seems to be that it depend on the 'group' involved. People who are fit and healthy will probably seem likely to get much, much more than 6 months additional protection from a third dose (some evidence even indicates that better results are achieved if the booster is a different vaccine to the first one). People with chronic medical conditions and the elderly etc may need further does sooner.

Thirdly its not a case of anyone's immunity disappearing magically in a puff of smoke after 6 months have expired. Yes, doctors now know immunity starts to wain after that time. But the same is true all vaccines, they all decrease in effectiveness over varying time periods. If you were ask your Doctor how long before say you needed yellow fever booster for example they can give you a pretty accurate answer because the vaccine for it has been around long enough for masses of pooled data to be available. (The answer BTW is you retain some degree of immunity till late in life but a booster after about 10 years is often recommended.)

So unless you think being having to get a booster every 10 years for yellow fever or for that matter an annual flu shot is 'tyranny' in action all your doing is being pedantic.

Lastly given the progress being made with newer vaccines that seem to be far more effective against all strains of the virus and promote strong, long lasting immune responses. So the likelihood is that 6 monthly boosters will not become an ongoing fixture of our lives. The problem remains however that COVID is new and we don't yet have those long lasting vaccine in use - yet.

 

You really need to open your eyes and see what's happening around you.

Being mandated/forced to get it IS tyranny. It is forcing someone to undergo a medical procedure against one's will. It is a complete surrender of one's bodily autonomy, you know, that thing that people mistakenly love to mention when it comes to mothers murdering their children before they are born.

The point is that this is a never ending "shifting of the goalposts" and that a "return to normal" is not in the slightest bit a part of the plan. Let's now remember how all of this started, what it has currently come to, and what is likely (or possible) in the future if such logic were to be extended...

How many "justs" will people continue to believe will "finally return us back to normal" before we "JUST" get so damn sick of it that we forcefully demand the tyranny to end and to be reversed?? When will people learn that we absolutely cannot in any way/shape/form comply our way out of tyranny??

I will provide yet another reminder that it is not possible to comply our way out of tyranny. We, as citizens, must stop falling for hatred and division, as that sows the seeds to divide people between man and woman, white and black, vaxxed and un-vaxxed... we must stop falling for this and instead unite with each other under the common cause of resisting these tyrannical government mandates (on masks, vaccines, COVID passports, and whatever else is down this pipeline) so that we can get our stolen freedoms back.

And here YOU are hyper focused on how long the shots might last... There are much more serious issues happening right now... Once 2022 rolls around, the price increases you've seen right now are NOTHING compared to what you are going to see come out of the pipeline once 2022 rolls around, and it's all by design to destroy the working class, destroy all small businesses, put a bunch of people into poverty and onto the government dole (thus dependent upon government, which gives government controlling power over them for their survival), and to boost up the "elite" class (and the Wal-Marts and Amazons of the world).

So your saving the virus is in fact part of a Satanically controlled plot to establish the 'New World Order' as foretold in the Book of Revelations and that therefore any measures to curtail the spread of COVID that might be implemented by government, including vaccinations are by default automatically part of that conspiracy?

But meanwhile things like State mandated mandatory reporting and control of STDs are presumably not part of that plot? Nor are annual flu injections.

You sound like a reasonable person. So I don't understand why you seem to think another jab every 6 mos is worth dying over but I hope you won't linger in a high demand ICU for that long if things don't work outl

The culmination of too many lifestyle changes makes life not worth living. Also, I feel pretty safe not getting the boosters being under 60, contracting Covid-19 and recovering and getting 2 jabs of AstraZeneca.

Social pressure and shaming like friends, family and neighbors calling me a "granny killer" won't work as good as the authority of a government badge. I'd take the needle before the man with the badge puts me in handcuffs. I fear the authority of the government more than I fear the virus itself.

 

The truth is that the current "vaccines" probably only have an effectiveness time somewhere in between 6 months and a year.

I have been researching the pathophysiology of this virus - the government would have to be at Idi Amin level before I was more scared of it than this organ destroying rotten twice be damned virus!

Where do I draw the line? When an oppressive government says that the COVID vaxxes will save my life that has not been fully tested.

 

I ended up getting the booster in July. Why? Because I was promised a paid vacation to Europe and in order to travel abroad I had to get the booster shot. If all goes well, I'm flying this month.

THIS is what I'm talking about: getting prizes and positive reinforcement to do the right thing. Without rewards, sure I'll risk my organs failing!

If the product is actually a good and in-demand product, then people will flock to consume it all on their own without any bribes or ultimatums. In fact, if it is truly a spectacular product, then people will even start fighting each other hand and fist over getting it first, getting it sooner, or even getting it at all.

Something smells fishy whenever government feels the need to effectively force people into consuming particular products, whether that be a jabby jab (as in this case), electric vehicles/equipment, crickets/bugs, or anything else...

Regardless of bribes and ultimatums, I'm not going to risk my organs failing by getting the jabby jab. I already know some family members who have suffered injuries due to the jabby jabs, and all jabby jabbed family members have still gotten COVID all the same as unjabbed family members (even got it first and got it worse than unjabbed).

 

Yup. The same sort of bribes were done here in Wisconsin too... Our governor "Tyrant Tony" was actively peddling such bribes.

I can't wait until that useless POS gets replaced in November... then we can start passing all sorts of laws that States like Florida have been passing for some time now. Gotta hold onto the State Supreme Court in Spring 2023 though, or else that'll be a roadblock once again as Dems will sue for anything and everything under the sun and our laws won't get enacted/enforced properly.

 

I spent 10 days vacation in The Netherlands where I stayed at a friend's home. Spent most of the time bird watching at national parks and one day souvenir shopping in Amsterdam. My Dad paid for my trip. Barely a mask in sight!

It was well worth the booster.
