Where in the Bible does it say that I should listen to people? you have to read the bible and everything do you agree like martin luther
As recorded by Matthew in Matthew 25:31 to end, Jesus directed his believers that they search out those in prison, those in poor houses, those in hospitals and learn their needs and provide for those needs. He stated that failure to do that would cause his believers to be damned to hell. Throughout his life on Earth, he demonstrated listening to people's needs and helping them.
Matthew 23:9-11 9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. 11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. Matthew 23 is just Jesus laying it down on the scribes and the Pharisees, the clergy of his day.
OK. But, a Christian DOES have to reach out and listen to others in order to help fulfill their needs as per my cite of Mathew, telling us what Jesus stated. Jesus says hell is the price of failure. I'd suggest that if you have ideas of being Christian, you should moderate your direction of refusing to listen for that and other reasons.
People's personal testimonies are important..... What others have experienced can assist us to rise up in FAITH and overcome what we are facing...... I think that it is interesting that this seems to be about each Christian's personal testimony..... not that they were all quoting somebody else's testimony..... And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. I know of people whose lives were transformed after hearing about how the life of former drug addict Todd White's life was transformed by the Holy Spirit....
I don't recall the Bible commanding that... but it is always wise to listen. Of course, you don't have to believe or act upon everything you hear, that would be foolish. But if you don't listen, you'll miss the grains of truth in the beach of bullshit. Listen, but also discern and apply reason to that which you listen to.
