The version of The Book of Jasher that has been found adds details about how Isaac and Ishmael were quarrelling which set the stage for the unusual act of Abraham and Isaac.

It is interesting that Abraham could not meet Sarah on the way back, in Hebron, because he was walking the other way, from the land of Moriah, and not from Jerusalem.

I have read a tradition about the human Moshiach......
slaughtering a lamb or ram in the rebuilt Temple...... do you think that the knife of Abraham will be used for that event?

I found out something quite encouraging that I quote here:

And Ishmael boasted of himself to Isaac, saying, I was thirteen years old when the Lord spoke to my father to circumcise us, and I did according to the word of the Lord which he spoke to my father, and I gave my soul unto the Lord, and I did not transgress his word which he commanded my father.

Isaac was born 1 and a half year after Ishmael was 13.

How old is Isaac and Ishmael in this dialogue?

It must have been lonely for Ishmael if he was the only child until Isaac was born.
