I haven't seen any riots, or #whitelives matter tweets and even the coverage here locally hasn't been all that consuming or near obsessive as you would think. You have an associate pastor, his brother-who owns two popular restaurants, an odd mix of flood, fishing , gun and alcohol. Its the weirdest thing and under investigation. Please---don't rush cops. Why would you do that?? A portion of a dash cam video that appears to show a Tulsa minister attacking a state trooper moments before he was fatally shot was released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on Monday. Mark Southall, a Highway Patrol trooper for eight years, and Michael Taylor, with one year on the force, were the troopers involved in an encounter late Friday that left the Rev. Nehemiah Fischer dead and his brother Brandon Fischer in jail, OHP spokesman Capt. Paul Timmons confirmed. http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/stat...cle_7c832753-3ac3-5f05-b869-f3584c9c016f.html
If that video hadn't existed, many people would have assumed the cop was at fault. Video can be a cops special friend.
I will patiently await the results of the investigation. I will insist that I get the results of the investigation, and go over its details to insure it appears to have been thorough and reasonable. That is my American ( with no racial hyphenation ) culture. -
That seems to be happening. People are waiting for the completion of the investigation. But here is the thing....if there was no video and the police in question were assumed to be not at fault.....I probably wouldn't have bought it. Now....seeing the way those men were and how aggressive they were, I can at least understand the cops reasoning and decision.
Sometimes. Some people would deny their hair being on fire if it was on fire, and some people are incredibly argumentative, and others will just outright dismiss the video if it doesn't fit into their narrative.
