Didn't read thread. If people are old with high blood pressure, obese, diabetic, comorbid in other ways, they should take precautions. For the rest, people with moderate exercise, decent diet with decent micronutrient levels, generally healthy?

I actually do think both 'sides' have a point in this(if I try not being an ideologue, but having prospective.). The lockdowns do seem(at least in countries that are far tighter than ours) to have a profound effect on transmission rate and/or hosts.

In the worst case, it may very well simply be suppressing numbers. In that, Trump is right that the number of tests= number of infected persons. However, Trump should let go of "how it looks", and more of the ideal of getting it done. The Liberal side still thinks you colluded with Russia, there's just no pleasing them.

On the other hand, America's traditional political existence makes a China-esque model impossible. We're in outrage over authoritarian steps already taken, steps that Ms. Bowerbird from Australia said are minor. Well, what's minor for Australia is historically unacceptable in the US.

Even if indeed, yes there's a major virus out there. A major part of the reason is that unlike Sweden, we do not have reason or ability to trust our government. This as I said before, differs on many spectrums of the political aisle but in general, the American Government thrives on a secrecy and a hostility(see: Whitmer) that makes trust impossible.

Yeah, we have been in heat quarantine for 2 weeks now. Yesterdays numbers were the worst.

 

And Trump should be absolutely ridiculed for the false statements that he made, even in optimism. Blind optimism isn't what the people need, but facts, even if they're not necessarily good facts to hear. Note, that I still don't blame him for touting the medicines that were in clinical studies. That's because that information was publicly available and to be blunt, he didn't control anyone drinking fish cleaners, or telling them to inject with bleach(despite that talking point still being alive.)

We can criticize Trump's response without resorting to hyperbole. On that note, the US leads the world in tests. It's still a paltry number compared to our citizens(that's the REAL challenge.) but we can test more than anybody else given our current sample size.

 

And what he said, “in theory” is absolutely correct. A flu which this is related to, does get negatively effected by warmer weather. It’s science. Obviously this one is different, which every flu is, but it’s still Flu-like. And when he said it, at THAT time, it was an accepted theory. Hey. WHO said it wasn’t even transferable between humans. Did you trust anything they say now? Hope not.

As were a bunch of scientists who he received his info from. The same scientists who said millions could die by now. You seem to think he just makes thing up. They’re all guessing. Nobody knows ****. And Who says he was wrong? Is it summer yet? It was an accepted theory. Still is. And Chloroquine has been successful in some cases. Did he say it’s a definitive cure or did he say it’s something to try? Oh that’s right. You already know don’t you but you like plying gotcha games or twisting words instead of being serious. But you’re not serious, are you, or you wouldn’t type what you typed.

Of course he makes things up. Why else would he say those things with no evidence to back them up? He's not sitting at the table with some friends, he's telling things to the whole country.
