White people banned from off-campus UC Berkeley student housing common areas

    “A private housing co-op just off the University of California, Berkeley campus has banned White visitors in common areas or without consent from other tenants.

    The "Person of Color Theme House" is a housing co-op located near UC Berkeley that "aims to provide housing to low-income, first generation, immigrant and marginalized students of color," according to its website.

    It is a private venture and is not affiliated with the university.

    In a leaked photo of "house rules" for the co-op, tenants are instructed not to bring White guests to the home without permission and to keep White guests from common areas.

    "Many POC members moved here to be able to avoid white violence and presence, so respect their decision of avoidance if you bring white guests," the leaked house rules list states.”

    So is housing discrimination not acceptable unless you’re discriminating against white people… then it’s fine? It really seems as though the double standard from the left is nearly as bad in politics as it is on this board. The overwhelming stench of bias and discrimination against whites by the pathetic left is a complete and utter disgrace.

    1. I'm sure everyone on this board will agree this is racist, bigoted, discriminatory, hateful and Nazi-esque.

    2. If the building is funded by the government then it needs to be shut down.

    3. If the story was about keeping POC out, then the building would already have been burned down and the owner/landlord arrested.

    4. If the left is ok with this, and I'm guessing some of them are, then can we do this nationwide based on any color people choose?

    5. If they're worried about violence then they need to be concerned about their own, not crackers, because statistics don't lie.

    I think that white people throughout the world are shockingly discriminated against and underprivileged race. One glance at the statistics and you can see this.

    I know right. There is a recent example of a teachers union agreement set to layoff whites first even if they are senior. I’m sure these more experienced teachers will just go make education better elsewhere while that area will have less experience and allow the kids to suffer the loss of a better education. Sounds like a great way to make your district one of the worst schools in the nation.

    You libs love to call out racism, discrimination, bigotry and hate whenever you think you either see it or invent it. But here we have a real case of racism, discrimination, bigotry and hate and all you can do is make wise cracks. What happened to all that tolerance, inclusion and coexisting you guys always blab about?

    Which is something that minorities across various walks of life encounter everyday in the US.

    I don't see any hate in the co-op. You don't know their story.

    What satisfaction you get with picking on them beats me.
