It is cool, but no congratulations are due to the White House.

The increase in oil production is due to increases in the Permian Basin, Bakken, and Eagle Ford fields. Since 2008, Bakken has gone from 200,000 barrels per day to almost 1 million. Since 2010, Eagle Ford has gone from 100,000 to 1.1 million. Permian has gone from 850,000 in 2009 to almost 1.3 million.

Those are all private fields. The increase in production is due to fracking. Oil production on government controlled land has decreased.

The obamanoughts are just taking credit for something they are desperately trying to stop. If it were up to them, there would be no energy independence.
