Have you read the new rules?

After the 50th or 60th time you rebut the same stupidity it becomes bothersome. Then if you don't rebut he thinks he won the debate.

Yes I have, and none seem to effect my posting style inappropriately. Being an active Mod elsewhere they make quite a bit of sense given the circumstances. In my opinion, those complaining are fearing they will be targeted because of the way they interact here. Perhaps....evaluating the way they play would be a better use of energy than biatching.

There is nothing else they can do regardless.

Okay guys, enough with the tit for tat. Please, don't make things personal.

    Thanks ~

Eh - I wouldn't mind being a Greeter. I'm not sure about being a mod though.

If someone posted some crap like child pornography I'd delete/ban, but when it came to trolling and flame wars I wouldn't do anything about it. Might make me a good mod, might make me the worst mod ever.

I'm with you. I have no desire to shut anyone up. If they are derailing a thread or casting insults, I'd just split them off into another thread and let them go at it, perhaps in a dungeon type format.

This is where warnings create re-direction, and often accomplish the needed change in a thread. Rather than pretty much ending what may be a valuable and entertaining contribution to the forum at large, by removing it from the main board....the offending member gets a little butt kick, and knows they are skating on cracked ice.

Yellow indicated I am paying attention.
Orange indicates things could become unfortunate.
Red pretty much means you are either already reprimanded, banned, or suspended.....or one of these is forthcoming if you do so again.

The debate itself always stays the same. Even if you correct somebody, that same argument will still be made by thousands more people.

The only thing that changes is which debate you want to get involved with. It always takes at least two to tango.

What does my head in is when a new debate starts up on an existing topic, and then people jump in just to complain about how they're sick of always having to go over something again.. So it's like, click some other thread then.

I would make the best moderator if we're having a wet T-shirt contest.

This is still going on? Well regardless of their political affiliation as long as they're fair then I don't really care who gets the job. Except for that guy. The one over there, behind that other guy. Yeah he's annoying.
