The only reason I'm starting this thread is because,I don't really fall into the two categories. On some issues,I'm very conservative,BUT on other issues I'm liberal. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way I do. Thanks!
The People or The State..... .....your on one side or the other.....you probably should take the time to figure it out before participating in anymore elections. . .
I'm guessing my friends would describe me as socially liberal and fiscally conservative. Of course the definition of socially liberal seems to have changed from "live and let live" to "govt checks for all". I would probably put myself leaning somewhere towards libertarian. At this point fiscal problems trump all.
Absolutely not. I am far to the right and proud of it. (*)(*)(*)(*) all you far left socialist mongrels and "moderate" indecisive wishy washy types.
I feel the same way. This is why I identify as syncretic, albeit sometimes with the qualifier 'liberal' or 'libertarian', which has many different meanings for me as an International Studies major.
I'm with you as I don't fall under extreme left/right either as defined by US politics. The left/right scale is BS anyway. To me it's all about liberty, both personal and economic which in the end is personal as well. You should be able to do what you want so long as you don't directly harm others. I don't see why people have such a problem with this concept. We're supposed to be America, land of the free, home of the brave, not this travesty we've become. FFS you can't even board a plane without being a suspected terrorist!
I'd simply say I'm neither. I see people warping themselves to fit the mould, basically drinking the kool aid from one side or the other. I'm just sick to death of this stupid two-party game.
