    The WHO has just issued a heads up that Covid-19 just like HIV and the flu may be permanently with us from this year and forever. We may have to find successful treatments for it as we have for HIV.

    I dont trust anything the W.H.O. says. At one point masks were useless and it wasnt transmitted human to human.

    I bet that if we could develop a vaccine there would be a ton of people who would just refuse to get it. Social media would be flooded with a bunch of Alex Jones like b.s. conspiracy's about containing government tracking nanites or some other stupid crap. And then if we went the smallpox route and made it mandatory (which the world would have to do if we ever wanted to get rid of this) there would no doubt be some collection of "muh rights" rebels out there shouldering rifles and marching against the "tyranny" of eliminating a deadly plague.

    Unfortunately their is financial incentive for drug companies to come up with LIFETIME drug therapies as opposed to one time vaccines.

    Wouldn't be the first time a virus inflicted the world and never disappeared. The Obama-Biden flu infected 60.8M Americans and killed over 12,000 in 2009 - 2010. No shutdown, no fear mongering. The Obama-Biden flu has returned a couple of times. In 2018-2019, the Obama-Biden flu infected 18M and killed 19,000. No fear mongering, no shutdown.

    Do you know how many strains of the covid there are? Same with the flu. You get a vaccine for covid, it's for 1 strain! Same with the flu. I am not taking the vaccine.

    I doubt it, much more contagious, the virus may mutate like a flu, but covid-19 will be caught by most eventually, no idea what the next mutation will be called or how deadly\contagious, it could be more or less so

    Who's surprised by this news? You might as well assume that this virus and variations of it are here to stay. It's just another obstacle in life. We're human, we adapt, we'll get around this just as we have everything else.

    If this were true, then no need to stay shutdown any longer anywhere. The virus is never leaving so not matter how long we stay hidden inside our homes, it'll be waiting when we finally resume living. So go ahead and get back to life now.

    Yes I'm aware about viral strain variety. But vaccines can and often do contain more than one strain, they're basically cocktails. The flu vaccine we get for example contains combinations of strains so its likely a COVID one would as well. But why wouldn't you get vaccinated?

    So, based on this information, are Democrats going to want to stay in quarantine "permanently" and "from this year and forever"? Or is reality sinking in that we're going to have to resume living and working so we at least have an economy left, even if COVID is here "permanently" and "from this year and forever"?

    We can't prop up left-wingers with $600/wk unemployment bonuses and random $1200 Trump Bucks checks "permanently" and "from this year and forever". #realitycheck
