Simple question, who profits most from the mask mandate?

If that could be determined we would have a better understanding ot this pandemic and why many are claiming that it will never end.

Simple answer: Anyone who comes in contact with someone wearing a mask who wouldn't be wearing a mask were it not for the mandate.

I don't look at mask wearing as a victory or benefit to any party who/that would 'profit'. I see it as a public health issue. Period. And we all benefit.

Who profits most from the "mask mandate"...? Me, I guess, and everybody else who doesn't want to catch this virus. I don't like the damned things, but I'll wear one until we're all told we don't need to worry about catching this virus any more....

And your proof? Many in the science community say that they do not do as intended.

And who tells you that? Someone with an agenda, most likely.

Really? Then all of those who wear a mask and still catch the virus benefit?

And for the millionth time, masks are used to help prevent YOU from spreading the virus than to guarantee you won’t catch it.

It’s why surgeons wear masks rather than patients. Understand?

No, it is not. Surgeons deal with already sick people.

Masks are used to generate profit from the manufacturing and sales taxes and are a monetary source of income for the government.

If you don't already have the virus, what you claim is simply not true.

Like I SAID, I'm not a 'mask lover', but it makes sense to wear one when in public, and mostly stop the droplets that harbor the virus.

Besides, the Governor of Colorado -- who I'm no big fan of, either, says we must wear them in public places here. So, being a lover of 'law and order', and not being an overt hypocrite, I wear a mask. You don't have an 'agenda'? The Governor of Colorado has one, I have one, anybody who is the least bit honest has one. Let's just be honest. I've got enough trouble now that the American people have elected a corrupt, senile slug like Joe Biden as the next president... I don't need to have a virus to add to my woes, and neither does anyone else.

Is your admitted agenda to profit off of the disease of others or forcing them to do as you declare?

BTW, It is hypocritical of you to wear a mask when you claim to "not be a fan" of this compliance. It indicates that you do not have the courage to act on your beliefs.

Like I said, I've got no 'agenda' beyond keeping healthy myself and not inadvertently spreading disease to other people. I'm NOT a fan of wearing masks, but I'm even less a fan of lying in a hospital bed, possibly on the edge of death, wondering what the hell I did wrong.... :spin:

Moreover, like I said, it's the LAW in Colorado. I don't particularly like our liberal Democrat governor or any of those hyperliberal stooges that infest nearly part of Colorado state government now -- but, it's the LAW here, and, I am a "law and order" kind of guy -- making no apologies for that. "Courage" is a subjective thing, Arjay, but the LAW is the LAW.

In addition to the government who taxes all manufacturing and sales of them. A declared income stream for the feds.

Have you seen this written law and the vote on it? Or is it just another dictatorial declaration from the powers that have the power?

When a law is not a good law, or a legal one, it is the duty of the citizen to fight against that law.

    Why insult people?

We should be designing and manufacturing quality masks--N95 or better that cut transmission to the wearer (and fit properly), too--and not worry about forcing people to wear them.

    N95 masks protect wearers.

Sheep is a description, not an insult.

As for forcing people to wear them, that is the entire reason for the mandate, a power grab over the supposedly free people of this nation.

Yet the stated purpose of the mask is to protect not just wearers, who are a-symptomatic, but to protect others who are also a-symptomatic.

Someone is lying to you and you are buying into it.

If that were true, which it is not, no other manufacturers would be making them.

How foolish is your statement? Totally.

CHINA! Don't they make EVERYTHING for America? Remember when we bitched about so much being "made in Japan"? Ah, the days of innocence gone by.

Geezuz, maybe things have changed since I got older, but calling most of the guys I knew when I was younger "sheep" would have been a risky play.
While I don't buy the line you're pushing on the motivation, properly fitting N95 masks would protect the wearer well and get around the mask fight. If even half of people had N95s, we would cut transmission rates significantly.

I felt like a voice in the wilderness when I suggested in February and March that we use the Defense Production Act to force 3M (and others) to license production of high-quality masks so when we got around to the Fall and Winter people would have ways to protect themselves, their families, and not have to even think about shutdowns.

So, instead of having a solution that would help on a voluntary basis, we're fighting over masks.

Biden if elected is on shaky constitutional ground to do a mask mandate especially when the supreme court is so conservative. A mask mandate will most help people vulnerable to covid and people vulnerable to job loss. Mask wearing reduces the chance of the virus spinning out of control and states instituting lockdowns. This helps the economy and jobs. It also reduces the spread of the virus which saves lives.
