There have been people on the Internet who described me as a misogynist. I want to tell them just how ridiculous that is.

I have known misogynists. The men who think that women are Satan. The men who think that women are stupid or pathetic. The men who think that women should be obedient to men. I believe in no such thing.

If anything, I see women, for the most part, as being better than men. They tend to be kinder, warmer, more compassionate. This does not however extend to women who have destroyed in themselves all the good feminine qualities and have been comporting themselves like the worst of men.

If women want to have equality of rights and powers with men, I support them in that. I do not however support women becoming malicious harpies and attacking, not only men, but also kind and beautiful women. Everything with a capacity of choice is capable of both good and evil. And it is rightful to stand up to wrong that is done by women as much as it is right to stand up to wrong that is done by men.

With equality comes accountability. A man who does wrong gets rightfully criticized for it; and so should the women who do wrong. The women who influence other women to be malicious harpies deserve as much criticism as do the men who influence other men to be misogynistic brutes and abusers.

Ultimately, I want to see everyone get along and do the right thing by one another. This is the case both with women and with men. Getting along is a two-way street; and men and women need to work out the relationships with one another in a way that does not involve abuse and family violence. Both men and women are capable of both good and evil. And that requires dealing with both according to what it is.

You said the men who want women to be obedient are misogynistic. I agree. There are also women who think women are better than men and like to enslave us.

Granted, the partner that makes the most money might have more say in how it is spent, but it depends how much work the other gets done.

Any specifics you want to cover?

To some merely believing there is such a thing as men and women makes you misogynistic - and a bigot too. Don't know know that the concept of men and women is outdated and there really is no such thing?

I agree that women are more kind and compassionate, but that doesn't make them "better" than men. Rather, men and women are different yet equal.

Has anyone actually met a "misogynist"? If anything, men love women too much.

Well there is a difference between love and sex, lusting after Women does not = caring about women and wanting to see women excel in life, or as Equals in life.

Oh yes, tons of them. They call me a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)whipped idiot, or they call me an abomination to God. I have written love poetry for several women (check https://sites.google.com/site/ibshambatpoetry). There have been feminists who ridiculously referred to me as a misogynist; but they have no guts to take on real misogynists such as the Taliban or the so-called "Father's Rights Lobby," instead concentrating their ire on the men in the liberal cultures who, for the most part, believe in women's rights. I see two complementary injustices. In genuinely misogynistic cultures such as the Middle East, rural Russia and parts of Australia, kind-hearted women get treated like dirt by men who are absolute pigs. In feminist cultures, noble-minded men get viciously attacked by malicious harpies. My solution to this is for women from the first set of cultures to get together with men from the second set of cultures, creating better relationships than they could have at home. This would not only be good for them; it will be good for society. It will create a real-world incentive for the offending gender on each side to change their ways. If they see a large cross-cultural flux for intermarriage, they will have a real-world reason to improve their behavior - or else see the other gender leave in large numbers to be with people who would be good to them.

I do not lust after my daughter or my sister or my cousin, but I do want them to excel in life. The men who only lust after women often become misogynistic when they find out that women are not toys. This was a large trend in the baby boom generation men turning from players and womanizers in 1970s to violent Reaganists in 1980s. That is not the only possible source of misogyny; I've known people who started out as "nice guys" who befriended and counseled women only to see them go with violent and unethical men, who decided that women are stupid and evil and that they should be played. There are people - like Eminem - who were raised by bad mothers, who also decided that women are the problem. And then of course there are men who have been badly mistreated by the practicioners of Third Wave feminism. There has been a global trend toward misogyny, and I seek to confront it, mainly for the sake of my daughter but also for the sake of the good women across the globe who do not deserve to be scapegoated for the misdeeds of women whom they do not know and who do not deserve to claim to speak for them.

As a Medico, I would hardly accuse you of crimes against women and family members, in general, I have observed patients that after much dialogue about their medical history, and personal history and views, some confusion as to their feelings, and a blurring of the distinction between lust and love, sometimes unconsciously alternating or interchanging concepts.
