On this one I tend to give the police the benefit of the doubt. They have a tough job, they never know if a routine stop will turn into a high-speed chase or a shootout. I don't think they should be afraid to do their jobs because an accident might occur, or they might get bad press because of it. Its the same idea with a paramedic rushing to the scene of an emergency, a fireman running into a burning building, or a soldier charging toward the front lines - sometimes accidents happen and someone dies. But I still think they should be able to do their job, rather than fearing that they might mess up. The nature of their job means they cannot be timid. They have to be brave when everyone else wants to get the hell outta there.

The nature of thier job is to make sure they don't hurt the innocent and as a tax payer I demand that they execute thier jobs perfectly. If they can't do it, then find another job. This is life and death. If they are not up to the high standards, then they should move on.

If I use my gun in such a way I would be in jail and subject to very high civil costs. They should be held to not only the same standard, but even a higher one. If not, there is someone else in line for the job.

Was the victim that was shot a Military Veteran?!

Too many U.S. Military Veterans are being shot and killed, excuse being, "Oh, wrong house / apartment / trailer / address / vehicle...It was an accident."

BULL CRAP!!! This is the 21st freakin Century. With gps technology, and other spy / surveilance / monitoring gear and equipment, there is NO excuse, NONE whatsoever.

Murder and assassination with a badge, simply because obamayomama feels threatened by our Military Veterans.

The victim was probably not a military veteran.

But the issue of military victims being involved in situations where they end up in confrontations (armed) with police sounds like a really interesting thread.
