...too stuck in the sticks to even know to use birth control, or too helpless and submissive to her man to tell him 'no' if he is not using birth control? Doesn't sound very 'liberated' to me.

Don't know if ya caught Ted Koppel's program on male birth control on NightLine a few years back... ... the opponent against male birth control was none other than the then President of NOW... ... when asked why she opposed it, her answer was "because women wouldn't know for sure whether the man was really taking it or not"... ... sound familiar? (Check out my reply to your post in the other liberated woman thread)
Why do you allow what people do or don't do in the privacy of their bedrooms bother you so much? Talk about being a nosy neighbor.

Don't see what you're getting at. Is this a slam against promiscuity from modern women, is it something against abortion, or are you just talking out of your ass? I mean who are these 'liberated women' specifically and how do you know if or not they are using birth control?
You can still be a liberated individual and make bad choices it's when the government tells you, you cannot make a choice is when you lose areas of liberty whether restrictions are necessary is different but we should have restrictions on things because of possible incompetence? You do know this could also be applied to many different things, things that you might take for granted. Like health treatment I mean should we really help people when they do stupid stuff? I mean they chose to go into a dark alley surely if they were truly liberated they wouldn't of went in there with the possible chance of being shot...
Well statistics show 50% of women WERE on birth control - the rest must have just believed the man when he said that withdrawal was an effective method of birth control (she writes not pointing a finger at anyone on this thread but..................)
life So the woman who works in the city, is self assured and in control of her life, is a'partner' to her spouse or significant other, is not 'liberated'? You seem to equate 'liberated' with ignorant.
Well the first case may be ignorance and the latter a case of rape and abuse. So yes, I support education and criminalizing abuse of women. These women are not liberated, I agree.
