So guys - the question is - are you willing to go on androgen deprivation therapy to reduce your risk of developing a severe infection or would you rather wear a mask

    Betting I know the answer!!;)

Interesting. Thanks for keeping us up to date. When the women find out the same treatment results in breast enhancement there may be no anti-androgens left for bald dudes! :)

I actually would go with the androgen deprivation therapy(at least until there's a vaccine.). If I could be assured that lowering my androgen levels would be safe and not cause other harmful side effects(what would be the point of swapping one killer disease for another?), I'd do that in a heartbeat.

My sex life, is unimaginably nonexistent so what would losing some hormones I don't need do?

Sounds like a worthwhile trade off to me.

Common thread may well be Vitamin D deficiency which is a factor in hair loss and reportedly COVID-19 mortality.

My daughter called last week and told me her brother-in-law advised her to buy Vitamin D because there is news coming out that may cause a run on the supplement. He's in a position to know.

I've been taking 2000 IU in addition to the 750 IU delivered by my One-A-Day. I can't get it anymore, so I ordered 1000 IU from the same Amazon supplier. I know that the mortality news has been around for a while. Whatever the news, it sounded pretty definitive.

Anyway, too much of a good thing supposedly is unhealthy, so if this comes about I'll probably be about right.

I was told not to wear a mask because it doesn't work if you don't have it, and we need to save PPE for frontline staff.

    Okay.......please take note

    https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-...xpert-answers/vitamin-d-toxicity/faq-20058108

you CAN develop hypervitaminosis D and it is not really something you want to live through

taking something because someone said it might be a good idea because of something they may or may not have read or maybe it was the bloke down the local pub who said or it could be that they heard it off Alex Jones.........

me? I prefer soldi research and preferably what is known

here is a good summation of what is known and unknown

    Things change

Here if you are not living in Melbourne then masks are not worthwhile because your chance of transmission is low

Where there is a high density population and even a small percentage of unidentified cases then wear a mask

I'll see if that advice matches with that of our chief health officer and get back to you.

I thought I made it clear that too much is no good. That's good to know. That Vitamin D deficiency may be linked to COVID mortality is also good to know. I love authority figures like the National Institute for Allergic and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Dr. Fauci's agency. Did he ever admit that his agency will collect 50% of royalties from a potential coronavirus vaccine? Nope, but while professionals who treat COVID patients use hydroxychloroquine to prevent infection, he wants no part of a generic drug that will undercut his payday. Similarly, no one wants to see Vitamin D solve COVID

Aaaaand you have proof of this allegation or is it just another right wing conspiracy theory without foundation?

So let’s start with this weird belief

    a) There are over 200 laboratories world wide working on a COVID 19 vaccine - many are well ahead of America - including here in QLD
    B) Vaccine may not be possible or only useful short term so we need an alternative treatment
    C) UK has already found one old drug that will improve survival in ICU patients and that is now being used worldwide so the twaddle about “no one interested in older drugs” is just that - twaddle
    D) you are not the only country in the world and I cannot say that often enough
    E) unless you have end stage renal failure and are not producing enough erythropoietin then you do not need vitamin D supplements - what you need is to get out into some sunshine
