Why are Trump supporters silent when it comes to Trump?

CNBC continued, "Trump’s election interference case was assigned to U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, according to the docket in federal court in Washington, D.C.

"Chutkan, 61, was appointed to the district in 2014 by then-President Barack Obama.

"Trump was hit with four serious felonies in the new indictment, accusing him of fraudulently trying to undo his loss in the 2020 election.

"The first charge, conspiracy to defraud the United States, has a maximum possible sentence of five years in prison if convicted.

"Two other charges — conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, and obstruction of an official proceeding — carry much heavier maximums: 20 years in prison.

"The fourth charge against Trump, conspiracy against rights, has a maximum possible sentence of 10 years behind bars."

Of course, Trump's followers will say none of this is true even though Trump's activities related to these charges have been highlighted on television news for over two and a half years.

But his followers can make that claim honestly. They don't follow responsible news sources. They get their news from Trump, and they believe almost everything he says.

I am forced to speak for Trump's supporters because they can't speak for themselves for some reason! Embarrassment?

    Written on July 24.

A federal judge has ordered that the trial in the classified documents case brought by special counsel Jack Smith against former President Donald Trump will begin in May 2024.

US District Judge Aileen Cannon said that the trial could begin as early as May 20. A pretrial hearing in the case will be held on May 14.

This trial will take place in Florida -- Republican country. It may be difficult to find twelve open-minded jurors willing to convict a former Republican President of felonies.

In addition, Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee in Florida, shocked legal experts across ideological lines last year by intervening in a DOJ investigation, issuing rulings favorable to Trump, only to be rebuked by a conservative appeals court. Has she learned her lesson? Should Jack Smith take that chance?

Donald Trump is widely expected to be hit with his third indictment of the year this week over his attempts to overturn the result of the 2020 US Presidential election and his role in the ensuing Capitol riot of 6 January 2021.

There is no rule that says multiple trials involving one defendant must be in the same order as the multiple indictments.

The grand jury for the classified documents case is in Florida. The grand jury in the 2020 Presidential election case is in Washington D.C. Trials are normally held in the same locale as the grand jury.

D.C. judges, many of them liberal, are less inclined to put up with Trump's shenanigans and trivial delay motions.

It may be advantageous and, arguably, in the best interests of our country, to try the Jan. 6/2020 Presidential election case first, and sooner is better than later.

    *****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Let's face it. Among the many faults the former President has is that he is an anarchist. Donald Trump doesn't care about the American government. He doesn't care about the American people. He proved that during his administration, and paid for it with a seven million vote loss in his reelection bid.

Strangely enough, he said he won. To this day, his adoring fans believe it.

Trump doesn't care about the American government other than what it can do for him. That makes him an anarchist.

This explains why his supporters do not talk about him, and won't defend him! They are unable to explain why they support him because they support anarchy. It is why they are willing to pay for his legal fees because they share a common purpose with the former President.

That would be anarchy. How do you explain your support for a politician if all you have in common is a desire for anarchy -- ergo, no government telling you what to do and what not to do?

That defines Trump, who thinks our laws are not meant for him. It explains why he is being charged with multiple crimes -- from paying off a porn star with campaign funds to stealing classified documents to attempting to overthrow our elected government.

He is going to need a lot of lawyers.

Dean Obeidallah writes, "Legal fees for defending yourself in one criminal case can be pricey — I can say that firsthand as a former trial lawyer. Now multiply that in former President Donald Trump’s case by two jurisdictions — New York state and federal court in Florida — totaling 74 felony charges against him.

"And Trump may need representation in two other jurisdictions: in Washington, DC, where a federal grand jury deliberates on the special counsel’s investigation of efforts to overturn the 2020 election, and in Fulton County, Georgia, where prosecutors are probing alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election results thereafter he lost.

"It is disgraceful that Trump is using funds from small donors that they believed would fund his campaign for his own personal legal woes. But at the same time, I don’t hear any Trump supporters complaining that the money is being used to fund his legal defense.

"It may be because Trump repeatedly tells his followers — as he did again at a rally Saturday in Erie, Pennsylvania — that the justice system is “weaponized” against him and next it’s coming for them. Trump bellowed that very point to the crowd Saturday: “They’re not indicting me. They’re indicting you. I’m just standing in the way.” He then added to big cheers, “They want to take away my freedom because I will never let them take away your freedom. I will not let that happen.”

His many fans believe him. To them, Trump's words are gospel, but that is something they don't wish to put to writing.

Strangely enough, their beliefs are an embarrassment, and writing about them is not something they want to do.

Anything to deflect from consideration of the utter folly of supporting Donald John Trump for President. What can you be thinking?

Amazing! The Times quote is a direct challenge to Trump's loyal fans.

The quote above is a direct challenge to Trump's loyal fans.

Trump's followers are so pathetic they can't even defend themselves, let alone defend the leader of their party and the leading Republican for the Presidency.

“We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.”
“When you catch somebody in a fraud, you are allowed to go by very different rules."
“We fight like hell and if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”
"Now it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy. And after this, we’re going to walk down, and I’ll be there with you. We are going to try and give them the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country.”
    ***********************************************************************************************************Donald J. Trump, Jan. 6, 2021
"Hang Mike Pence," Trump's loyal extremist groups yelled while ransacking our capitol.

President Donald Trump did nothing for more than three hours to stop his supporters from ransacking the capitol and clashing with police as lawmakers sought to certify that Biden had won the 2020 election.

“This is an attack on free speech and political advocacy. And there’s nothing that’s more protected under the First Amendment than political speech,” Donald Trump’s lawyer, John Lauro.

Trump is going to be arrested for the third time tomorrow.

Leading Republicans, some running for President, are scared to death of Trump's uneducated and silent supporters.

"The unprecedented indictment shows the corruption, scandal, & failure of the US under Joe Biden's presidency," Donald Trump.

"As President, I will end the weaponization of government, replace the FBI Director, and ensure a single standard of justice for all Americans. While I've seen reports, I have not read the indictment." Ron DeSantis.

"This is un-American & I commit to pardoning Trump for this indictment. Donald Trump isn't responsible for what happened on Jan 6," Vivek Ramaswamy said.

"What we see today are two different tracks of justice," Sen. Tim Scott argued.

Little wonder why Trump's supporters are unable to respond. In addition to their lack of education as shown by Trump himself, if they were to use the statements by leading Republicans and Trump's lawyers, they would be the laughing stock of the forum.

"The United States of America v. Donald J. Trump” instantly became one of the most consequential documents in American history.

"Tuesday’s 45-page indictment took the country to an unprecedented, profound, and tragic place.

"For the first time, America is set to put on trial a former president for trying to destroy its democratic system because, as the indictment put it, “he was determined to remain in power” despite having lost an election. And he’s not just any former president – Trump’s the front-runner for the GOP nomination, whom polling shows is closely matched with President Joe Biden in a hypothetical rematch.," CNN.

CNN continued, "The indictment details a clear and chilling alleged plot to subvert the will of voters in 2020 and to sever the chain of voluntary transfers of power between presidents inaugurated by George Washington."

Once again, Trump's supporters will have nothing to say. What can they say?

They want Donald Trump to be our next President.

Obviously, that is not going to happen. Either Trump will be in prison, or he will be the Republican candidate and get clobbered in the election.

    This is happening in America?

Trump and his uneducated, silent mob are doing a great deal of harm to this country, and they are being bolstered by House Republicans who want to impeach our President, but can't figure out how.

Trump supporters can say they trust him to be a better president than any Democrat and they will continue to support him.

Trump's lawyers are using the defense that Trump is stupid.

Countless members of Trump's White House staff, including his attorney general, Bill Barr, along with state election officials, told Trump that he had lost the election, something every voter knew on Nov. 4, 2020.

Trump's defense lawyer, John Lauro, went on Fox News and telegraphed his coming strategy. Lauro said prosecutors cannot prove Trump truly “believed” he’d lost his 2020 presidential reelection, ensuring a not-guilty verdict.

Then Trump's lawyer claimed that Trump's lawyers were responsible for Trump's crimes.

“He had advice of counsel, and a very detailed memorandum from a constitutional expert,” Lauro said.

Okay, which lawyers gave Trump what amounts to criminal advice? Is Lauro talking about Rudolph W. Giuliani, John Eastman, Jeffrey Clark, Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell?

    They are all co-conspirators.

    This is Trump's defense.

Well, Trump IS stupid , but that is not a crime , nor is it an excuse for his conduct.

He can't claim that he did not know he lost, when he actively planned to alter the results of the election to favor him. That is just dumb .and only fools his cult.

Well, that is his defense. He is claiming that he is stupid, and didn't know he lost.

His supporters agree with me. Their silence indicates agreement.

Trump was arraigned today for the second time within 24 hours. This time it was for the new charges added last week to the stolen docs case. It is a bit confusing, but this is what happens when the justice system is dealing with a man who thinks our laws don't apply to him.

PBS reports, "It was a routine part of a federal court hearing: The defendant was told not to discuss the case with any witnesses without lawyers present.

"But there’s nothing routine about this case. The defendant is Donald Trump, accused of orchestrating a conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 election. The potential witness pool is vast and includes members of the former president’s inner circle deeply involved in his reelection campaign, including some currently on his payroll. His lies about the election — which form the basis of the charges — are repeated in nearly every speech he gives."

There is no low that this drama Queen won't descend to . Seems his cult follow his example.

One could HOPE that they are silent because they have egg on face......but they are not that self aware. It is tragic that they have little self respect or independent thinking capability. Their "belief" in him has a religious fervor.

Someone else that is "silent", and watching this election closely is Putin. He might stager the war in Ukraine until Trump gets elected ( his wish) He believes that Trump will cut off aid to Ukraine so he can destroy that country completely but "win" in his mind. That is another sicko with malignant cruelty at his core.

In the past,, Donald Trump has shown sympathy toward Vladimir Putin and his war in Ukraine.

He "has not committed to backing Ukraine in the war. He has claimed that as president he could have the war settled in 24 hours, and just this week he said that support for Ukraine should be conditioned on congressional investigations into Biden and his family," CNN.

A few years ago, as President, Trump rejected American intelligence and accepted the statements of the Russian dictator.

"I have great confidence in my intelligence people. But I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today," Trump said. "Dan Coats [the director of national intelligence] came to me and some others, they said they think it's Russia. I have President Putin. He just said it's not Russia. I will say this: I don't see any reason why it would be," Trump, standing alongside Putin in Helsinki in July 2018.

So, the U.S. and its NATO partners are concerned.

CNN reports, "Top US and European officials are concerned that Russian President Vladimir Putin is factoring the 2024 US presidential election into his Ukraine war planning in hopes that a loss by President Joe Biden next year will lead the US to curtail its support for Ukraine and improve Russia’s negotiating position.

"One US official said they have “no doubt” that Putin is “trying to hold out” until the 2024 election. “Putin knows Trump will help him. And so do the Ukrainians and our European partners,” the source said.

It's not necessary. We let all the cultural Marxists keep him at the forefront!
At the same time, you don't see any threads praising Biden. They will again keep him in the basement. The elite establishment that is!

Re: Trump's claim to have the war stopped in a few hrs. He certainly does not specify how he would obtain this result. Sounds a lot like his usual bellicose nonsense that is not based on reality. His simlistic answers to big problems is probably due to the fact he does not understand the depth of those serious big problems. His slick answers are laughable. and on a grad school level.

And yes. it is unnerving to think what he might do...as he is against NATO . (but pro Putin and other dictators) He almost wrecked most of the relationships with allies , the last time he was in office.

“IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!” Trump wrote.

An incredibly stupid comment for Trump to make. The former Republican President, criminally indicted three times, proved once again that he is quite stupid. In the meantime his uneducated rural followers remain totally silent while giving the billionaire money for his legal fees.

The Times reports, "The federal prosecutors overseeing the indictment of former President Donald J. Trump on charges of seeking to overturn the 2020 election asked a judge on Friday night to impose a protective order over the discovery evidence in the case, citing a threatening message that Mr. Trump had posted on social media.

"By mentioning the incendiary post in an otherwise routine request seeking to keep Mr. Trump from making evidence public, the prosecutors in the office of the special counsel, Jack Smith, were drawing the attention of the judge, Tanya S. Chutkan, to Mr. Trump’s longstanding habit of attacking those involved in criminal cases against him."

Trump's supporters are forced by him to respond using an equal amount of stupidity.

His campaign responded with a statement calling the post “the definition of political speech.” The statement suggested that the post had not been directed at anyone involved in the election interference case, saying it was meant for Mr. Trump’s political adversaries.

    "Not directed at anyone."
So, Trump is threatening everyone he doesn't like.

"Meant for Trump's political adversaries. So, Trump is threatening his political opponents, including his former vice-president and the governor of Florida. Is that suppose to mean the threat is less threatening?

Geez, today's Republicans, from the grassroots level to the leadership, are stupid. Republicans among us are incapable of responding to these blatant fact-based insults.

Trump is not very bright . He was warned about making threatening comments and just ignores the warning. In his pathetic mind , he is above the law. and can do as he wishes. He has no boundaries and that is part of his mental disorder. He is thumbing his nose at the judge and the law. Everyone that sends him money is encouraging his lawless behavior. This nation is in trouble.

By dancing around Trump's three criminal indictments, Trump's opponents in the Republican primary are looking ridiculous.

Take a look at the comment made by Trump's vice-president concerning the trial over charges involving Trump's failed attempt to overthrow our elected government.

"I have no plans to testify. But, look, we'll always comply with the law," Pence said.

    Huh!

Pence contradicted himself in the same sentence.

It doesn't really matter what Pence is planning. What matters in a federal criminal trial is what the prosecutor is planning.

The former Republican vice-president and candidate for President made himself look foolish.

Another Republican candidate made a fool of himself.

“I don't think it's in the best interest of the country to have a former president that's almost 80 years old go to prison,” DeSantis told reporters.

Of course, everyone not a member of Trump's uneducated followers would assert that is the responsibility of the former President.

Trump, Pence, DeSantis, that is the best Republicans have?

The Democratic candidate is a shoo-in!

They are terrified of him. And one can see why. But that is no excuse to behave in such hapless ways ( dancing around the issue) It is embarrassing to observe and accomplishes nothing.
