Despite the fact that Newt Gingrich speaks without thinking, he's still a pretty smart guy. And you can't ignore the fact that he has something called A RECORD in Washington. This guy has been around forever! Wouldn't you agree that he's your BEST choice?
Nuget is just an old relic of congress, and has no real ideas on fixing stupid. He is all about himself and will do whatever it takes for him to make more money than he has, at the cost of the USA. In all his time sucking up taxpayer money, what has he realy did for any American or for the USA?
I think Newt has been playing the role of a supporter, and has not been aggressive enough in pursuing the lead. He sees himself as part of the team, up there, which is why he is quick to support other candidates and defend them when necessary. Newt does have a few blemishes in his personal history, which could cost him, if he should gain any traction in the polls. That might be why some are hesitant to support him. He does, however, have a good chance at being VP. When asked who the candidates would consider as VP, more of them chose Newt Gingrich. I think he would make a great VP.
Speaks without thinking? LOL! Newt of all candidates has the most brilliant mind and speaks by shooting from the hip. Everything he says is well thought out and in fact he's written a couple of history books. The problem with Newt as a candidate is that he is a lousy politician. Look, he was probably our nation's best speaker of the HOUSE with getting his contract for America passed and all. I see Newt's role as with these debates is to make sure the moderators stick to asking reasonable and pertinent questions by making sure they don't give questions that would pit one Republican against another. Newt has already said that he wouldn't refuse a Veep spot, so at best I could see Newt as becoming our nation's best Veep ever.
He lied.. He cheated.. He attacked the other side for political gain.. The NEW Republican party must represent change. Newt aint any of that.
Gingrich is a bigger joke than Senator Joe MaCarthy was -and he hasn't even been elected to ANYTHING !
He has been neutered by his background. Americans only respect perceived misconduct at home when it hasn't come to light. Show up the person for whom they are and the distance an American will achieve to get as far away as possible has no bounds. Obama is the prime example.
What McCarthy and Newt have in common above perhaps all others, was and is an uncanny ability to expose the commies inside FDR's and Truman's administrations, and to expose the marxist agenda of the obama administration. But I think it was Glenn Beck who ousted the commie Van Jones from the obama administration along with a few of his other czars. So it comes down to an all-American patriotic team of Conservatives to make sure the commies lose any clout inside these liberal/socialist administrations.
Character and personal loyalty matter to Republicans. Newt's behavior in his marriages make him unelectable as a Republican. I agree he's a smart man, but that is not enough.
There is a reason..If you can cheat on your wife .. USING YOUR POWER OF INFLUENCE..Just like the same deal you prosecute a president at the exact same time..For the exact same reasons... You have gamed the system for personal advantage. End of game. You in the private world can lie..cheat and steal..but I choose not to vote for those who do.
I don't know about "best".....but he IS smart and knowledgable. I think there is a place for him in the next administration. Maybe an economic advisor? I DO like the way he's come out full force against the media bias.

Newt does have a long history. And much of it is cloaked in cronyism and individual gain. He is part of the problem, not the solution. His is the crowd responsible for a good part of this mess we are in. Don't be blind enough to think he has changed. He hasn't. And neither have the others. Just the soundbytes have changed.
The Salimander has not paid much in money to broadcst media, hence the low poll rating. The little Salamander is a tight one, and wants to hold on to the campain money for himself and his wife, rather than pay off the jewish broadcast meida which he hates. he is a smart guy. but he's a washington weasel game player. you can't trust what the man says despite his trustworthy sounding voice. also, he's a member of the church of global warming.
