I've been doing some reading the last few days, to try to understand why the black community in the USA is in such bad shape. First of all, we need to look at how they were before Johnson's Great Society programs. Before 1968, black poverty rate was upwards of 60%. But, black single-parent homes was around 20%. Today, black poverty is at at least 27%. So, while poverty in the black community has greatly improved, single-parent households have jumped immensely. why? well, first think I looked at was the Moynihan Report, which blames much of this on welfare, food stamps, section 8, WIC, and other entitlements for the poor. these programs, unfortunately, enable single-parent homes and even promote them, as benefits for a family reduce significantly if a single mother marries someone, and even more if this someone gets a job. when facing the choice between being single with kids, and having a husband with kids, the financial choice is often to stay single..so her kids will be fed. luckily, welfare reform and the Earned Income Tax Credit, has stopped the increase in single-parent homes in the black community, as it doesn't penalize mothers for having a partner, regardless of his level of income. but it turns out, another government program has had a major effect on black men. the drug laws of the 1980s and 1990s, which mandated minimum sentences for possession of small amounts of crack, have decimated the lives of black men. the minimum sentence for possession of 5 grams of crack, is 100 times worse than the minimum sentence for the same volume of cocaine. what this meant, was that millions of Americans, mostly black men, were being sentenced to decades in prison for possession of crack, while mostly white folks possessing similar amounts of coke had much shorter sentences. and with these long felony sentences, came the inability to restart one's life after they left prison (not that one can easily start again after being in prison for a decade or more). due to a lack of good low-skilled jobs in the inner city, many blacks sold crack. this decision, basically ended their lives. so, welfare rules + the extreme disparity in crack/cocaine rules, basically guarunteed black male Americans a future of nothingness. luckily, again, these rules have been amended, so that the sentencing disparity between crack and coke is seriously reduced, but two generations of black men may have been totally screwed. hopefully, the next two generations will be better off. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_on_Drugs#Arrests_and_incarceration http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/viewSubCategory.asp?id=1672 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Negro_Family:_The_Case_For_National_Action
now, does a sub-culture that glorifies, celebrates, and emulates violence and a lack of empathy for fellow human beings contribute to this? of course. but family, is where it all begins. and a lack of strong fathers, seems to be a very strong reason for the current struggles of the black community

The lawsuit says it was these three assertions that were the basis for the city determining that Brock was delusional and to diagnose her with bipolar disorder. Obama doesn't follow me on Twitter. The Left refuses to admit the negative impact that feminism and the normalization of single parenthood has had in the black community. Pressed by police, Watson admitted that he made the story up and was looking at a handgun he was thinking about buying and placed it in his pocket where it went off, with the bullet hitting his genitals. Watson who refused to tell police where the gun disappeared to has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm by a drug offender, and two counts of false reports to law enforcement. God punishes!

Just cause it is "clear" to you doesn't make it real. The Earth being flat and the Sun revolving around the Earth made a lot of sense to many folks until we learned different. And BTW, no offense, but most of the Bible is silly fantasy.
