Why Can’t My Black Son Have A Toy Gun?

Pellet and BB guns are not "TOY" guns, duffus! They are REAL guns, that shoot real projectiles, therefore no ORANGE tip. "TOY" guns are not capable of shooting anything other than little plastic balls or Nerfs. Your judgement on this is off base, because you are confusing your facts.

 

How more likely is a black likely to commit a violent crime then a white.. there is your answer..

Ok, show me anywhere in the world that poor urban crime/ violent crime is lower than middle class urban crime. Come on, you know better than that. The point is most blacks are poor urban. Go anywhere in the world, say Asia, China for example where it's not a mixed ethnicity and the crime will be higher in the poor urban areas.

The gun in question didn't have that orange band around the end. It only had the tip....and that was removed.

I'm in my late 30s. I wasn't allowed to have a laser tag or paintball gun because cops were accidentally shooting kids in the 80s. But these kids were white so instead of social justice outrage there was parental awareness. Lasertag is almost non existent and paint ball has been moved to the forest and closed arenas were the cops aren't going get called an accidentally shoot your kid. No parrent in their right mind will let there kid have an airsoft gun or paintball gun that they can just run around on a public street with. This has nothing to do with bad cops its bad parents.

Roy. There are more poor whites in this country as there are poor blacks. Yet blacks commit an overwhelmingly disproportionate amount of the crime. Why do you keep ignoring this fact ? Why do you always look to blame somebody else ?

More poor whites....no kidding. In the inner cities? That's where the crimes we're talking about took place. I'm not ignoring that fact, it's just not the right comparison.
Come on, compare apples to apples.
We could get into whether or not blacks actually commit the crimes or if the charges are factual but that's for another day. Prisons are full of blacks.....don't you think it's possible the police prey on them and they are convicted because they can't defend themselves as well as whites.

Roy. The point is that the crime is where the people are. You can't point at high crime rates in inner-city black neighborhoods and say that it is not their fault. That if that were a neighborhood of whites, that the crime would be the same. Because we have plenty of poor white neighborhoods in this country, and the crime rate is significantly less.

Then blaming cops. Sure there are bad cops. But that is not the problem.

If ever, take some time to research what is identified as the #1 correlation to a predisposition to crime. It is not skin color per se. It is a lack of a father in the home. Whether white, black, whatever, the likelihood increases 5-7 fold that a child will become a criminal. Unfortunately, for whatever reason you want to assign, and there are many, the illegitimate birth rate in the black community is 72% now, up from less than 25% in 1960.

There is a lot to digest as you get into it. But one thing is certain. You cannot fix the problem until you identify it. And I strongly submit that you have not yet identified it for yourself.

 

Toy guns should be clearly distinguishable from real guns. Waving around a toy gun like you have a real gun isn't a joke. This would be a commonsense regulation that both sides might be able to get behind.

 

Or maybe they just get caught more often.
