This says Covid-19 spreads easier than the others. H1N1 appears to most resemble it. Is it also more severe because we don't know as much about it yet:

The main reason seems to be that Covid-19 is basically hitting that perfect spot between very contagious and not very lethal. It spreads super easy, but because it is less lethal than SARs and Ebola (but more than influenza) it just spreads so far before and without killing off its hosts. Add onto that the fact that this virus has no antiviral or vaccine and it just means that this virus will keep on going, but for a shutdown.

I'm starting to agree with those that suggest covid19 (and it's mutations) might just be here to stay, but we'll eventually get the upperhand through meds/treatments/vaccines. I'm not at all suggesting we throw our hands up now and go for herd immunity.

Because we didn't have Obama and Biden to drive the number infections to 60.8 million. Obama credited Biden for his part in killing 12,500 Americans in 2009-2010 and 19,000 Americans in 2018-2019 and who knows how may in 2013-2014. There was no more reason to shut down the economy now than for the Obama-Biden flu. The media would blame Trump for fewer fatalities than the seasonal flu which ranges up to 60,000 Americans per year.

There is no vaccine for the flu. There is no vaccine for HIV. SARs went away on its own accord, but H1N1 never did. I remember vaccines. Before the open borders crowd opened the borders, we defeated many diseases like polio. Once applied, we never needed another dose. They're back.
