Why Do Many Republicans Support Immigration Reform?

    This is one thing I can't figure out. I can see "moderates" like John McCain supporting immigration reform. But I can't figure out why hard right conservatives like Rand Paul are supporting such a bill. Is there something here that the American people aren't seeing?

    I'm wondering this, too. It seems to go against many of their principles.

    I think it's because they're trying to appeal to the moderate voters, especially if they want to have another chance at winning an election.
