Why do women and men view rape against each other differently?

Men can in fact be raped. This is due to the human sexual response being involuntary.(Unless the person in question has some form of sexual dysfunction.) The idea of a male being raped as absurd has had an unfotuante effect on mens willingness to come forward as victims.
Some rape crisis centers(thats what their called right? Or am I thinking of those sucide centers...) Do not help men who do come forward as victims at all and most will not give them shelter but instead give them hotel vouchers.

In terms of the law it varies from place to place: I think the U.S. changed the laws wording in the 60's to make rape not just penetration. The law involving it does have some other issues though... For example in some countries a women who gets pregnant after raping a man could technically sue for child support. And again... people don't take it very seriously meaning police might not help. This thankfully is not always the case though.

I don't think it's different at all. It's all about circumstances. I can't imagine too many men saying, "Why can't that happen to me?" if they were being raped by Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg.

I read the PDF and realized right off that it obviously wasn't what it is intended to be. It is NOT a medical, or any other type of legitimate study.

I looked closer and -SPRINGER - is a self-publish site.

All but three of the cases he searched the net for - are sexual molestation/pedophilia, and/or incest. Older female relative, babysitter, etc, having sex with a younger male.

Only three claim to be "forced to get it up" rape - and they look questionable.

This is probably because "violent (for lack of a better term)" rape is so rare for males, and their rape shelters are beyond capacity with raped women. The last stats I looked at said a female is raped ever 6 minutes - 24 hours a day. And 1 in 6 women will be raped in their lifetime.

If so, no jury would award her any support, - and the father could probably take the child in such a case.

There are some really strange ideas out there.

Do you remember a couple of years ago in Africa, HIV/AIDS positive men were raping little girls because they believed sex with a young virgin would cure them.
