im not putting ALL christians in the same boat as these ones, but why is it when something happens somebody uses god as an excuse?for example:

i had to find my shoes quick because i was late for school, and i was getting very frustrated because it was very hot. THEN my mom comes and says "just calm down for a sec.. just pray and im sure they'll turn up."........ i mean just WTF!? when i heard this the first thing i was thinking was (sorry ma)''B**ch, i don't have the time for this s**t, school starts in 15 minutes!!(i have to walk.)" im not bitter about this one actually(rofl) but still it pissed me off at the time.

can you tell me a just as stupid story like this?:confusion:

Actually, that was good advise. Not specifically because the prayer is magic and would make the shoes appear. But think about what would happen if you followed her advice:

You would calm down for a moment and clear your mind. This would give your brain a chance to straighten out its thinking. Then you would stand a much better chance of remembering or figuring out where your shoes are.

When you rush, your thoughts get muddled and your are more likely to make a mistake. This rushing actually reduces your chances of success - in this case successfully finding your shoes. As the Army says, "Slow is smooth and smooth is fast."
