Why Does Mainstream Media Consider It Acceptable For Jews To Be Racist?

Following, the Obama's election victory in which 70 percent of American Jews voted for him, the darling of the Mail and the BBC wrote this incitement to religious hatred:

"Romney lost because, like Britain’s Conservative Party, the Republicans just don’t understand that America and the west are being consumed by a culture war. In their cowardice and moral confusion, they all attempt to appease the enemies within. And from without, the Islamic enemies of civilisation stand poised to occupy the void. With the re-election of Obama, America now threatens to lead the west into a terrifying darkness."

How can it be acceptable that a Jew like Phillips be allowed to write garbage like this in the mainstream media, but progressive writers and journalists who pontificate about humanist issues relating to equality and social justice, for example, are regularly denied such a platform?

Phillips is mainstream but many of the said progressive writers are understood to be “beyond the pale” of accepted opinion. How does this happen?

Islam is a religion. I know a great many extremely good Muslims. There are also some bad ones, just as there are good and bad Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, atheists, you name it. What if I were to write:

“In their cowardice and moral confusion, they all attempt to appease the enemies within. And from without, the Jewish enemies of civilisation stand poised to occupy the void.”

Why is not everybody protected from hate speech? Unfortunately we don’t have an appropriate word as strong as “racist” to describe the kind of vile bigot Phillips is, Muslims not being a race. For Phillips to accuse Obama of conspiring with racial intolerance while promoting evil and hatred herself, is unspeakable.

I have to reiterate this, because it is extremely important: How is it that Melanie Philips is getting away with openly promoting vile Islamophobia in our midst? How is it that she and other Zionists prevail ,exactly where the EDL and the BNP fail? Why is Melanie Phillips a celebrity, whilst the BNP’s Nick Griffin is regarded as a vile racist, and a social outcast?

….I believe that the answer is devastating: within our so called, liberal democratic, allegedly ‘tolerant’ discourse — it is only right wing Jews who are entitled and allowed to spread xenophobia and hatred.

This is hardly surprising, because unlike contemporary Westerners, who seem to be more than confused by their colonial heritage and notions such as nationalism, racism, expansionism, biological determinism, religion, and self-loving, Israel and Zionism actually celebrate all of these symptoms, in the open.

It is far from surprising then, to see Israeli flags and Jewish symbols popping up in many far right gatherings in the UK and in other European countries, because Israel, it seems, makes racism look kosher.

The shocking ideological resemblance of the thoughts and ideals of the fearsome mass murderer Breivik and mainstream Zionist advocates such Melanie Phillips, Daniel Pipes, David Horowitz, and Harry’s Place should surely be a bright red alert for any sensible humanist.

If we want to save our society from being dragged into a violence with no end, we must de-Zionise every possible aspect of our culture, media and political institutions.

 

It appears that Jews are the only people on earth who are allowed to have nationalist governments. Take the golden dawn in greece, no different from yisrael beiteinyu (far right) in israel. But for some reason, Jews are leading a campaign of character assassination, lies, and slander against this party and all the members in it. A couple african immigrants cross into israel and they are severely punished. Bu god forbid if a western nation wants to tackle the issue of their millions of illegals. I could go on and on. The double standards qre endless. It is all bs and something very sinister is going on...

The OP raised the issue of the hypocritical nature of the mainstream media in terms of what the said media regard as acceptable reportage discourse. It is regarded as acceptable by the powers that be to allow Zionist Jews like Phillips to openly and publicly incite religious/racial hatred for their own political ends, whilst for others, like the fascist Griffin of the BNP, for example, it is not.

Indeed. The hypocrisy is, quite frankly, astounding - all in the name of balance and impartiality of course.

 

I have nothing against a Public Broadcasting Company, none at all and I love the BEEB, the trouble is the Gov holds the purse strings but at one time, in my lifetime, the Gov did not abuse this ..now they do. The BBC has little choice. They do sneak in some 'naughties' after hours and or on 3 or 4 .................. The World Service is good too. Beware Murdocks crew are after the BBCs blood, we have to keep a balanced view of things as they really are. I saw the difference between the before and after of Gov interference wich included bloody Mary Whitehouses' influence .......terrible, just as we were all freeing up our ways of being and thinking.

 

I sort of understod why they wanted to ban them but it became a joke when the dubbing occurred. Sinn Fein could not have hoped to have so much publicity from this ban. Bit like the banning on BBC radio of the records "Relax" and "god save the queen"

 

Me too, it was a bit like Lord haw Haw, the IRA were bombing us at the time ( with US dollars btw ) but the Irish/Republican/Catholic question was a valid one and that, the Gov tried hard to keep away from 'the great unwashed' . Considering it was the Irish who was being attacked by Loyalist/(Scots)/protestant Orangemen and who asked for the protection of the Army in the first place makes it even more unjust ............ terrible times

 

The Democrats got 2/3rds of the Asian vote, 7/10ths of the Jewish vote, 3/4trs of the Latino vote and virtually all the black vote. I believe they also got more votes from women then the Republicans did.

There are a lot of white male voters out there in America, but relying solely on them to get elected does not seem to be a good electoral strategy. Maybe the Republicans should try and revamp their message. I don't see why Asians and Latinos are automatically the enemy of much of the Republican message, for instance.

Whether you consider the expression "Islamic enemies" to be racist or not (most people don't), what exactly does it have to do with Phillips being Jewish? The term 'Islamic enemies' has been widely used by thousands of mainstream media personalities of all ethnicities, religions and colors. Do you have to single out a jew and point out that she is a [gasp] Jew. Of course that would not be antisemitic, would it?

PS a more appropriate comparison of this expression would be with "Zionist (not Jewish) enemies of civilization" and your anti-Israel ilk uses such wording regularly, including in mainstream media whining non-stop that being anti-zionist is not anti-semitic.
