Why I am sick and tired of GOPers blaming the media

You often hear those covering, and criticizing the Trump Campaign heavily, being called, "In the tank for the Clinton campaign," or other claims the "mainstream" media is working in the favor of the Clinton's. Numerous Trump personnel coming on well-known news programs, such as "This Week" and "Meet The Press," often go off on tyraids with accusations that the "mainstream media" is working in the interest of the Clinton's. Kudos to Chuck Todd, and other newscasters who try to douse the flames on these accusations.

What people tend to forget, is that Fox News is part of what has come to be known as the Mainstream Media, or Tabloid Press. The argument that is made that Fox News is exclusively available for those who have cable may have been valid in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, when a good amount of antennas were present, but today, that argument really does not hold water. These accusations are silly at best, and a foul waste of air time. Let's keep this important fact in mind:

What Trump gets criticized for, is mostly as a result of something he, or the campaign has done or said. It comes down to simple cause-and-effect. For example, Trump refuses to release his tax returns (those that have already been audited), and the denial gives reason to question the underlying reason why, especially with Russia's intervention in this election. Clinton has, so she won't get criticized for that. It's not media bias, it is a simple cause-and-effect mechanism, that quite honestly I believe, Trump wants. Another example would be the letter issued by Trump's doctor, and Clinton's health. I'm not a doctor, but anyone can figure out when you test positive for something, it means you have whatever you were tested for.

Clinton does not suffer from seizure activity, or any other deliberating condition, which has been proven by health statements issued by her doctor (and this is coming from someone who has epilepsy).

So, stop blaming the media for Trump's own faults. It only makes you look bad.

 

They gotta blame someone...and mostly, they blame the "media."

Except when the "media" is favoring their guy and stomping on his opponent.

Let 'em.

If blaming the media for the disgusting campaign their candidate is waging makes them feel good...it should be okay with everyone.

They are the only ones buying into their own nonsense anyway.

You people claimed Hilary never had a concussion, then claimed it was nothing.

Turns out Hilary says she has memory loss due to the concussion. Basically, Hilary was not capable of performing as Sec of State after her injury.

Now you claim Hilary is healthy and does not suffer any debilitating medical conditions. Now why don't people believe you?

 

Kids are taught to recognize propaganda techniques in elementary school as being a manipulation. So, if journalists present biased reporting, and media publishes it, you should still be able to recognize propaganda for what it is and treat it accordingly. If you know it to be propaganda, don't believe it. Even fifth graders know that words are used to manipulate, especially to sell you something… something you may not actually need or want, but are told you have to have because everyone else has it, because someone famous endorses it, because it is the best and other products are inferior, because it's what normal people want, etc.

Media, OTOH, has to raise revenue, so they publish things that will generate advertising money. If people, after having been taught about propaganda, choose propaganda and believe propaganda to be factual, that's on the reader as much as it is on the media. Americans have been shown to prefer things that confirm their own bias, rather than facts that go against their own bias.

The media isn't corrupt. The media feeds us what we want, because it is driven by what we do. It literally studies what we select and act on, and gives us more of it. Don't blame the media. Blame the people that swallow propaganda as truth and cling to the falsehoods, despite being shown the facts, because it confirms their own bias.

 

American media is seriously flawed in presenting news which leads to Americans being woefully ignorant.

 

Sooooo, you are saying that the media spreads falsehoods as truth and it is up to us to discern which is which! ? Pish posh! That is ridiculous. The press is there to tell the news in an unbiased fashion by just presenting the facts----not giving their spin on it.

I blame Trump as it is he who hands the media the ammo they in turn use against him. My advice to Trump is, quit handing them the ammo!

 

The media is a capitalistic product.
They sell stories to advertisers. So they are going to run stories that get viewership so they can charge more for ads. Ads is the main source of revenue.

 

The fact that the RW don't recognize this is not surprising. They really aren't mainstream in their thinking. So to them, they actually think the whole world is against them.

 

I want to see him defeated, so I want him talking every day...as often during every day as he can.

He does more damage to himself than anyone else is doing to him.

Why would the media do that? They would go out of business and then there'd be no media.

I truly doubt you bothered to study the Clinton tax returns. People do not elect to high office those who show tax returns.

The law is this. They both have complied with the election laws. Laws that do dwell on their finances. They must disclose amounts and sources. It is not a new law. Democrats seem to forget about that law.

I see nobody here who wants to pore through over 100 pages of tax documents.

Democrats blast FOX all the time. They see FOX as pro republican.

Which means they see favorable the rest of the media to Democrats.

That is why we studied the media. We learned that about 7 percent of the media admits to voting republican.

There is a media bias honestly. And I am looking at this from a viewpoint of not right or left. The right have their media channels (Fox News, Breitbart) and the left have theirs. (MSNBC, CNN, ABC, etc.) They will cover each of their candidates the way they want them to and thats just that.

Trump does make himself an easy target, that is true. However, what I found really funny, is the whole DNC Leaks, where it seemed like most channels that protect Hillary with their life, were saying, yeah that happened, BUT DID YOU SEE TRUMP?!?!?

 

They could not dare expose the former cop that saved a baby is a Trump supporter.


Watch PBS. I once respected PBS.

They do a daily dose of take a dump on Trump.

They unabashedly dump on him from the beginning of what is now properly called, a show.

Brooks and Shields, supposedly the opposite side of the coin? Not now. Brooks went to the side that hates Trump.

Shields hates him due to him being a loyal Democrat.

PBS is not unbiased.
