So basically you have no clue what you're talking about but you just want a ban on something to make you feel better. Got it.
According the citizen soldier concept and the 2nd Amendment we should be more concerned with volume of fire which the AR platform provides. After all, the 2nd Amendment isn't about hunting but about protecting ourselves from domestic and foreign enemies.
Well hells bells I like my hand cannons and flat shooting hunting rifles! Why wait till they get close enough to spray them. At a mile away I want to have them boys ducking or bleeding. At 1/2 mile it is time for me to bug out!
go ahead, give that perp a good pop in the head, splatter his brains everywhere. Let's see...you've responded violently with the express intent of harming or killing your intruder with a bat. Do an experiment..go out find you a melon, put it on a post, then give it a good lick and see what happens. What's the difference? Someone once suggested golf clubs, even messier than a baseball bat. test it yourself. Locks are for honest people. An alarm takes a few minutes for the po po to arrive, time enough for your perp to do some really bad things, if he cares about not getting caught. Seems you are out of options........time for the old kitchen knife routine..but wait, you have to get past him to get it.....oh well, you tried. Your victim might survive to come back to exact his revenge, best pop him in the head again. using a bat is very brutal and precise. You sure you up to that since you don't want to hurt him with a gun? Before you answer, go bust a melon with a bat, then tell me what you decide. Bear in mind that you can maintain a distance with a gun...you have to brutally try to take his head off up close and personal with a bat.
How did that work out in the UK, when they tried to riot with cricket bats? The government wasn't brought to its knees in fear? Imagine that!
1. In the era of modern warfare, the idea that owning a gun can protect yourself from the government is stupid. 2. In our modern industrialized society, the idea that you would ever need to protect yourself from the government is stupid. 3. Arguing over where to draw the line over a particular gun ban is stupid. An important effect of gun bans is to culturally indoctrinate people into thinking that guns are dangerous and should not be kept around the house. The problem is that in the US, we have become too comfortable with guns, to the point that we are now the most militarized nation in the world. Gun bans would be a step in the right direction, in reversing this trend. We need to create a culture of fear - fear that guns are dangerous and should not be made available. Over time, only a cultural shift of this type will bring gun violence down.
And 9/11 never happened, Fast and Furious never happened, Waco was imaginary, King never got beaten, the patriot act is imaginary, 50% of America is not trying to disarm the other half and tax them into the poor house, companies are not leaving...
sigh......I guess we have subjects here in America too. Dude, you are an American. Whether or not you agree to own or not is your RIGHT The same Bill of Rights that have been given to you is a responsibility to all Americans. Get off your knees and start acting like a Citizen. If you choose not to own or carry protection is your God given Right. But you still have a responsibility to America. I would suggest that you reread your Bill of Rights and Man up. If not, there are countries that will open their arms to your socialist views and keep you safe there. Before you reread the Declaration of Independence, go read the Magan Carta and decide if you want to be a subject under rule or a Citizen.
Exactly a nation full of machine shops, chemical factories, engineers, chemists, and a couple million veterans should do a bit better then goat farmers, and cave dwellers. Oh, and then of course there is the most time tested, and effective military strategy in the history of mankind known as asymmetrical warfare.
Times change. Twenty years ago, who would have dreamed the US would have a $16 trillion debt and climbing at $1 trillion a year, there would be nationalized health care, you would be physically searched before boarding a plane, and socialists would actually be elected (and re-elected) into the white house and congress. I don't see how the US can continue down this path without something breaking. When it breaks, you will wish you had a gun. The US is so militarized partly because of fear of the government. When your own President and Congressional leaders consider you to be astroturf and too stupid to run your own life, you have reason to fear them.
our debt isn't that big a deal. the debt "crisis" is drummed up by the republicans so they can justify their existence. I support nationalized healthcare. I don't find x-ray scanners all that invasive. I am a liberal (aka socialist to you) and I support Obama's election. Nothing is going to break--everything is fine. All this fear-mongering is fake propaganda created by the conservatives to justify their cause. I see no need to own a gun at all.
we don't need a military strategy because we're not at war. there's little chance that we will ever be at war, because our society is extremely stable. It's like preparing for a snowstorm when you live at the equator.
luck has nothing to do with it. our society is stable and safe because the government keeps it that way.
1. God is not real. so there are no "god given rights." 2. owning a gun is not a right. just because some piece of paper says it doesn't make it so. the same piece of paper used to say that a black person was 2/5ths of a normal person. the 2nd amendment is a law. As such, it is a human creation, and is subject to re-interpretation and revision. IMO, the 2nd amendment is no longer relevant in today's society, and should be done away with.
Dude???!!!!!!!!!! Where in theeee hell are you living?????? What the f*** planet do you come from? Do you NOT watch der herr news, read regurgitated newsprint, leave your house? You wearin'g rose-colored glasses or something?
news is sensationalized--it is meant to scare you into thinking that things are worse than they really are. If you use your own brain and think about it ,your personal daily life is quite safe (unless you live in a bad neighborhood). That's why instead of trying to acquire guns, you should try to acquire money. Because once you have money, you can move to a good neighborhood, and not have to worry about safety.
nice thing about religion Why should your faith be mine or vice versa. Who are you to tell me what I can believe in or not? Spoken like a hypocrit hiding behind a mask.
Do you know what Brewster Jennings is? If you don't then you have no right to claim you aren't completely ignorant to our current state of things. Ever heard of a nuclear and advanced weapons black market in the black sea area of Turkey ran by the ATC, AIPAC, and the CIA?
