The media stories are ALWAYS, 100%, boys/men who became girls/women. Never, ever the other way around.

Why is that? Why are 100% of the stories of males transgendering to female? Whether for "bravery" such as Jenner, beauty contests and modeling, to athletics to acting.

Where is the story of the teenage girl who transgendered to male and wants to play football on the boy's team? Of the female who transgendered to male and became homecoming king? The lawsuits and complaints of transgendered to female who demand to use the boy's bathroom?

Why the glorification of femininity and silence on masculinity? Why is transgendering always male to female?

STRONGLY suggest that transgendering has nothing to do with dna, hormones or any such. Rather it is only about social conditioning, contempt of men and praise of women, and current gender PCism. Males who transgender to female are brave, courageous and "heart warming stories." Only males who transgenders are.

There are plenty of female to male transitions in reality. Were you really trying to suggest that never actually happens or only that the media ignores it because you weren't at all clear?

How the media represents the issue is flawed and imbalanced but that's as much a function of the media's attitude towards gender and sexuality in general as anything else. Men only interest the media if they're actually doing something. Women can interest them just for their physical appearance.

Regardless, I don't see how the media (mis)representation suggests anything about the causal factors behind gender identity issues and transitions.

There are plenty stories of female to male transitions out there. Apparently you haven't looked very much.

And the word your looking for is "transitioning" not transgendering.

    What about Chastity, Cher's daughter/son...

... and others who have been on a few of the daytime Talk shows?

The pc system works on scapegoating.

The lesbians do the activism yet everyone blames gay men. Women who pick fights always use men as a shield when the shtf. Any woman who does this is an unchivilrous nut but that doesn't stop some clowns from living that way.

It's the same with transgender. The biological females expect the biological males to take the flak. Just more thought police hypocrisy. If a trans man is misogynist to a transwoman and she snaps back, the transwoman will be chastised by pc onlookers. Transmen are like uber feminists. They don't want to give up female privilege, because of course, it doesn't exist. Lol

transmen and lesbians wear masks to their trans rights protests. Then of course its the poor transwomen who have to face the world everyday and the inevitable backlash that comes from gay awareness.

and typically, transmen get tolerated, just like lesbians do. So it's tremendously nasty for them to draw attention to transwomen

Trans people really just want to blend in. People who create "awareness" are just creating a world of fury against them.

So it's not quite how you think. There are beautiful transwomen but we see more and more of the unappealing ones held up as examples. This is no accident. The social engineers always show the lowest denomination. For instance, like making lots of black on white porn, even though there was no market for it. It's the most affronting porn a person can see so it makes the less shocking stuff suddenly seem ok.

I predict in the near future we will see an absolutely gorgeous princess of a girly girl, turn herself into a burly man. She's out their right now. Poor thing.

Good point. Transmen very rarely live a mans life but continue with a lesbian existence.

If I were female I'd be a lesbian.

Finding a few examples does not change the premise of the OP.

    - - - Updated - - -

That's the PERFECT example. 100 times as much publicity about Jenner, and he's a fake.

    - - - Updated - - -

I'll pick my own words, thank you.

True, but those examples do negate the false premise of the OP.

Not so. Chaz Bono, Thomas Beatie.

Media reflecting the entrenched misogyny in our society.

The word you're looking for is "transitioned", not "transgendered". As for where those stories are, until someone with Jenner's fame transitions from female to male, the lower your expectations of the media, perhaps the less disappointed you'll be.

It's the opposite, actually. Jenner is a story because of the misogyny that surrounds males transitioning to females. Then the other side reacts to that and tried to make Jenner some sort of hero. Meanwhile there are non-famous people transitioning who arguably face harder struggles because they don't have Jenner's fame and fortune. They won't get recognition because they aren't already famous, and therefore their stories won't get ratings/sell advertising space.

It isn't. I have a family member transitioning from female to male.

    Stuff and nonsense.

The world is better served when people who lack knowledge have at least the wisdom to shut up and listen, rather than spew.

The media follows people. Chaz bono didn't get the ratings Caitlyn Jenner. Mostly because people don't care about chaz but love to talk about Jenner.

I assume this is because men aren't seen as beautiful and women are. And a man daring to be A thing of beauty offends people so deeply, and a manly looking woman becoming a "trans man," who cares.

But the media reports about it because puerile regardless of what they say like to hear about it.

I agree that transgendered women face more persecution than transmen. But why do you think fame would be a desirable situation for someone who is changing gender? I'd have thought it's a deeply personal experience.

That's disgusting that the brutes won't let men be beautiful. Because of ugly men all the nice looking men have to pretend they are ugly and act as unatractively as possible.

This seems a bit backward to me, but in our culture it's men who decide what is pretty/beautiful, and because the vast majority of men are heterosexual men cannot be pretty/beautiful.

Yes true. They are not objective appraisers, but subjective to their sexual instincts.

You're missing the intent and context behind what I wrote, but most of the fault is probably mine for my ill phrasing. I'm not saying that media scrutiny of one's transition is desirable. I'm saying that some of the perks of fame and fortune more generally (money for one, influence for another) aren't available to most people who transition. But as your reply suggests, fame is a double-edged sword. No doubt Jenner's fame made it difficult to keep her transition private. There was a lot of media speculation surrounding it long before Jenner made any public declaration concerning her transition.

Keep in mind as well what I responding to - this idea in the OP that females don't transition to male, or that we never hear about them. Take the part you quoted from me above, and consider it within the context of another remark that appeared just before it in that same post: As for where those stories are, until someone with Jenner's fame transitions from female to male, the lower your expectations of the media, perhaps the less disappointed you'll be. The item you quoted is a continuation of the thoughts expressed before it, flowing from the same context. We haven't heard as much about females becoming men because no one with Jenner's level of fame and fortune has made that transition. Chaz Bono is a very distant second. Were he not Cher's offspring, I doubt we would have heard about it at all. Jenner was already world famous as a former olympian. For some people, it ups the shock factor, that a person viewed by some as the epitome of masculinity transitioned to become a woman.

One perhaps may wonder why you, or we, should care. I consider your statements above to be the height of inanity (not a misspelling, just so it's clear.) Should anyone care about my opinion of what you wrote above? Do you?

    Didn't think so.

More like you posted a rhetorical interrogative for which an answer won't be forthcoming, since A) it assume 'facts' contrary to reality, and B) no one cares.

And C) hatemongering via loaded question doesn't really deserve an answer.
