Wow, I must admit I made a mistake. You aren't playing a game, you really are stupid.

If you think blacks are the same as everyone else, fine.
But do not force other people to racially integrate with them!
It is one thing to essentially force whites to pay for welfare and opportunities for blacks, but it is quite another- some might argue an invasion of civil liberties- to force them to be in the same classrooms and workplaces.

You have no right to tell someone else who they can and cannot hire for their business. Neither do you have the right to tax a family and then only provide racially-integrated education to that family's child if neither the parents nor the child wants to be around other races.

I am not even saying the school should discriminate based on race. Even allowing home owners to preferentially sell to their own race, and allowing real estate agents to suggest that a minority look for a house in an appropriate minority neighborhood, would be good enough. This would help different races live in separate neighborhoods and school districts. Stop the government from telling people what they can and cannot due with their own property regarding race.

Why would this country wish to go back to a system that failed? All of the things you mentioned used to be legal and common in this country, but we found they caused so many problems and they don't live up to our Constitution, so we fought a Civil War, amended the Constitution, passed some new laws, and reinterpreted old ones so we wouldn't live in a segregated racially divided country. You're suggesting we ignore more than hundred years of progress in this country because you don't like minorities.

I believe my Great-Grandfather was a Liberal, but I'm not. Uneducated people show it by believing (or pretending to believe) nonsense, whether they've been to Eton or Hicksville High. Bush was a scoundrel who pretended to be a moron so as to appeal to the American Conservatives, obviously. If you believe the Book of Revelations is literally true, that there is no global warming, that women should be forced to bear unwanted babies or that unrestrained capitalism works, and especially if you never read anything, you are uneducated. Face it and stop ranting.

The United States was founded a long time ago by slave-owners mainly, as you know. The mugs in the US also say they are anti-colonialists and believe in equal opportunity as upward-mobility ceases entirely and their masters attack more and more countries to steal their oil. The United States - apart perhaps from outlawing slavery - has never done anything compatible with the Sermon on the Mount, as you know (the 'Judeo-Christian tradition' is what they believe in, i.e. not offending anyone so as to make money). As to 'race' there is one, the human, and the rest is archaic tripe.

Revisionist history plus an active leftist imagination will put you in good stead with your brothers who abide by Orwellian/Utopian ideology. Good luck on your travels down that dead end street.

What Orwellian/Utopian ideology was that then? The history I read is just history (as, of course, is racism as a theory, or phlogiston or your Vengeful Tyrant God-the-Nutter). It must be odd to live in the Never-Never-Land with Ghenghiz Khan and all the other believers.

Racism is much less than it was, even in my lifetime. Now, most of what we blame on racism is actually more cultural/socioeconomic. Most middle/upper class whites have no problem with most middle/upper class blacks and vice versa. Can't say the same for working class of either race.

It is just true. That is what American weirdoes always get wrong: whether you believe in your nonsense is immaterial - the question is whether it corresponds to reality. Never send to ask Fox News about that: it tolls for thee.

Sorry, Iolo, is simply isn't true. I'm sure you're doing the best you can, though. And, whatever you do, don't read anything. All the knowledge you'll ever have is in your head.

So, tell me, Iolo. Which of these owned slaves. Patrick Henry. Benjamin Franklin. John Adams. John Hancock. Samuel Adams. William Whipple. Stephen Hopkins.

Did any signers of the Declaration of Independence own slaves? Yes, they did. Was the country founded by slave owners? No, it wasn't.

I'd worked on the assumption that without Virginia the Rebellion wouldn't have had a cat's chance in Hell of success and that the key figures there were certainly slave owners. Nobody ever thought of making any of the above king, did they? cf views of slave-owner Washington.

Very good post. We need to put an end to crap like dumbing down civil service tests! And get rid of the check box "ethnicity," why does it matter. Everything should be based on merit. How can it get more fair than that? Look what is going on with the FDNY... what crap.

Alas, the minority leaders in this country will never let that happen.

Ding, ding, ding - welcome to America where race is all that matters!

The first slaves in America were indentured servants who were both white and black. "Race" based slavery didn't really begin until around the 1680's if I remember correctly.

Yes - but it was certainly 'racial' by the time that the plantation-owners went into rebellion sooner than pay their taxes, and was central to the build-up of wealth on land stolen from the Native Americans - who could also be presented as 'racially' inferior. The 'race' fantasy, in other words, sort-of-justified a lot of crime and hid class feeling, making possible the defence of a 'free' republic controlled (normally) by the extremely rich.

There will always be some level of racism in any society simply because humans have an innate tendency towards racism. Racism, which is really just an expression of territorialism, was cultivated through eons of sociobiological evolution, long before our species ever even emerged from the hominid line. In other words, humans are instinctively racist and must learn to override their innate racist impulses through rational cognitive conditioning.

Most people live in communities (known individuals) of about three hundred and everything else is an 'imagined community' wished on 'em by interested parties. What's more, since the last Neanderthal died, there is only one human race. Human beings are therefore NOT instinctively racist (or, for my money, instinctively anything). Leave it to the wolves and the sheep.

Todays modern Liberal will always keep the Racist additude around.

It's all part of human nature for them.

And there are those that must defend themselves from it.
