Do you think that's what this map shows? I see lots of "brown" countries that are lightly shaded on this map. I see several "white" countries that are red.
If you exclude those barbaric russians. The west seems like a beacon of light ahead of its time to me.
Yea, is everyone in the west white? Most of the western hemisphere isn't even white. Eastern Europe seems to have some issues, are they white?
The slave trade would be a lot larger if it weren't for whites, especially the Brits. Just a fact, and no one needs to care if it pisses off black and brown racists, who account for over 95% of the current global slave trade along with Asians. The problem with the map is it shows Red China as a light yellow when it should be dark red same as North Korea.
you're just determined to blame "the white man" for the world's ills. what is most interesting about this map is that africa, the origin of most of those who want to blame the west for all of their problems, is still so invested in the notion of slavery. do you suppose this is a recent inclination or perhaps it has always been that way and these folks have been selling their neighbors to the highest bidder for centuries?
I'm "the white man". Nothing in the post you quoted blamed anyone for anything. Why are you so defensive about slavery? Who do you think is buying the stuff with metal that was mined by slaves in Africa?
So as long as you exclude the "bad" white people, white people are good? I think you're trying to force your preferred answer on to the statistics there. Modern slavery (which is somewhat distinct from ancient slavery) will obviously have all sorts of contributing factors and those will be different in different places. The general pattern on this map appears to largely mirror economics though, with wealthier countries tending to show lower modern slavery, probably because many of the contributing factors will either be influenced by or will influence in turn, economic prosperity. You'd have to investigate much more deeply to get any real understanding or the problems and causes. That isn't what you were looking to do though was is?

Perhaps ALL black people (including African Americans) need to be held accountable for their races pro slavery mentality and crimes against humanity.
