Democratic party has always been the party of racism and slavery. Even today, it's that side who has members calling Ben Carson an 'uncle Tom'. They equate education with 'acting white' and being illiterate as being more true to being black. Black liberals guarantee their vote to a party that wants to keep them poor and ignorant.

FDR,Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Democrat Congress forcing Nixon, Conservatives justices ending programs that were for minorities (Affirmative Action).
Conservatives tend to center their thinking around science, facts, statistics, logic and common sense. This doesnt usually mix well with progressive delusions and utopian fantasies.
