It's quite liberating though. Don't you get tired of those forums where everyone walks on eggshells being nice to each other and people defer to this one and that one...here, nobody gives a rat's ass if you think you're smart or not, they get ripped in and are no respecter of "person"s. I like it. It's a lot more mature than some forums also. I hate those places filled with nutters who facilitate each other in their mentalness and also those which are filled with immature Mods who haven't the faintest about people skills or objectivity.

Yes. Do you know you are posting on this forum? And showing a fair bit of hubris

I am confused. This is obviously an attempt at mockery, but I missed the part where I said the lack of civility was good. I don't believe it is. The lack of civility is just a reality. I have also never been to one of these magical forums where everyone is civil, as you seem to have been.

Next up, I am hardly filled with hubris. I have a healthy sense of uncertainty. Everyone presents their opinions at this forum in an assertive way, but there is a world of difference between that, and absolute certainty about an issue one has almost no knowledge about. Which is absurdly common at this forum!!

yep , but it seems as though people have forgotten that .

yep , I've seen examples of that myself , Frodly , however , I've also seen much evidence that some posters are educated beyond their intelligence , present company excluded , of course .

    yep , it's a powder keg , my dear friend , and it'll get worse , much , much worse , 2 years , 2 years , the fuse of catastrophe has already been lit . . .

Yeah you have to be a bit stronger to be an American some non-Americans just don't have what it takes and are not used to being able to really express themselves because of their oppressive regimes.
