Why is the US Capitol Building so HOPELESSLY vulnerable?

This had been well organized and those who knew where to look could have viewed all the online efforts at organization. I agree that hindsight is 20/20, but hard to excuse the lack of preparedness on the part of those who are tasked with keeping the Capitol safe.

 

The get together was well organized the attack on the capitol building after words looked rather ad hock to me. No implements for taking down the fence not much of anything really. I can only find half a dozen to a dozen that actually entered the building. And about 50 or so involved in taking down the fence. Out of a crowd that easily exceeded 200k.

 

Basically Trump has a tendency to believe he can accomplish miracles. The left decided to call failure to accomplish said miracles a lie. And of course they interpret what he says in the narrowest possible way.

He was a police officer and a veteran not a security guard. He died defending democracy. If I was aware that his attacker had been caught I would have said so.
Was there any point to the question or are you just deflecting away from your claim that fewer than a dozen arrest have been made when by Saturday over 80 had been made and by now probably far more?

 

I never said there was only a dozen arrested. I said it appeared that there was only about a dozen that actually entered the capitol building.

So now you've got about 30 milling about the foyer. A few still holding pieces of busted fence it appears. It looks like visiting day for the most part. By the way jail the bastards, they deserve it.

 

That's just one photo, I've seen reports that up to 150 people breached the defences but if you want to continue to play it down we'll have to wait for the official inquiry to get the real numbers.

That is a fair statement. I live in Los Angeles and know what its like to be stranded because protestors blocked the freeway.

 

The only defences were the fence outside. And everyone involved should be in jail right next to the antifa and BLM thugs on the other side let them kill each other and the rest if us will be better off.

I believe that the First Amendment doesn't actually permit a blanket right to protest wherever you want, but that a permit is required for certain spaces.

If it is a public place, you have the right to protest. If you are going to organize a group, a permit ensures that everyone gets their time and conflict can be avoided. Here in LA, the Federal building on Wilshire is a common place for demonstrations. For example, pro-Israeli/Pro-Palestinian demonstrators need law enforcement and distance between them.

Of course, a MAGA hat will get you shot here!
