With more street attacks today in Europe I think the USA has been spared, SO FAR, for 2 main reasons, one good and one bad. 1) Obama, being part Muslim, refuses to acknowledge these attacks are religious/muslim based. Why would they want to change that? 2) The US citizenry, and by extension the police, are armed. In most US cities, any terrorist who pulls out his AK and starts yelling and shooting people on the street is almost certainly instantly in range of someone, an official or a citizen, with a weapon who knows how to use it. Probably more than one. In most European cities, the opposite is the case. They know, as just happened in Copenhagen, they have an excellent chance to get away. And just to be clear, #1 is the BAD reason.......

If I were to see some clown shoot a place up, I'd try to follow at a reasonable distance, while I was on the phone with 911. In America, at least some of us take this Citizen thing to heart. I am not arguing against CCW, I think its great, but the relative number of CCW carriers against the public in general are slim. Second being, if someone has a long gun, and you have a handgun, you are at a disadvantage. A serious one. You must be much closer than the mass shooter to ensure you reliability land a shot. I, for one, would refrain from stopping a shooting unless I was in the very immediate area. In short, there is nothing preventing a Muslim from grabbing his gun and committing terrible deeds in the name of his bull(*)(*)(*)(*) religion.
