Top ten TV shows. From Nielsen, August 2011. I mean, can you get more Rick Perry-Texas? Crappy, brain-dead "reality" tv, cop shows, corporate football. America's viewing habits scream for Rick Perry. Personally...I have never seen any of these shows, except 60 minutes (a long time ago). Probably a sign of why I disagree with so many in the USA. 1 AMERICA'S GOT TALENT-TUE 2 AMERICA'S GOT TALENT-WED 3 NCIS CBS 4 NBC NFL PRE-SSN 8/28(S) 4 NCIS: LOS ANGELES CBS 6 60 MINUTES CBS 7 NCIS 10PM-SPECIAL(S) CBS 8 BIG BROTHER 13-WED CBS 9 BIG BROTHER 13-THU CBS 10 BIG BANG THEORY, THE CBS 10 BIG BROTHER 13-SUN CBS
Meh. Americans have a notoriously short attention span. Perry's bounce is already starting to fade, and it's just a matter of time until Palin and Giuliani enter the fray. That will give them something new to focus on for 5 minutes. This one will be decided by the ground game more than anything else. I have no idea who will win the nomination, but I have no reason to think it's Perry.
What are most americans concerned about? Jobs. Texas has created 1/2 of the jobs in the country. That will be the entire campaign. As I've said, Americans are too stupid to analyze the issue.
Vote for me, Rick Perry, while on your way to your jobs at Burger King, that I created! Oh, you want it your way? Sorry...
Actually, McDonald's is switching to self serve, and you can bet the other fast food chains will soon follow suit, so a lot of the jobs that Perry claims to have "created" are soon gonna get chopped.
Hey.Texas could invade New York. Think of the jobs created and the service to the rest of the country.
Voters seldom vote FOR presidential candidates anymore. They're more likely to vote AGAINST the one they don't like. Most of Perry's votes will probably be anti-Obama votes if he makes it to the general election. His popularity among the Republicans is due largely to: 1) People aren't paying attention 2) He's got more charisma than the wooden boards who are Romney and Huntsman 3) He's a guy, and like it or not Republicans aren't ready to nominate a Bachmann or a Palin 4) He's a conservative Christian, and those are the folks who turn out in droves for the Republican primaries
