In my 40 years of voting I have never seen more hatred between Republicans and Democrats..it's everywhere..on google, facebook, the news, and especially here..I thought we were all Americans working towards the same goals..
maybe it's because of the internet now that it's more visible..hell if I know..
I don't care what party you belong to as long as we can attain these certain goals which I think are important..
    reduce the military by half..
no more foreign aid..except for food aid or a disaster..
get rid of every member of the senate and congress and start fresh..
    no more lobbyists..they're blood suckers..
    a flat tax rate..
clean up the justice and prison system..at this rate 25% of Americans will be in prison..
    end the war on drugs..
    to many unnecessary police..
keeping a careful eye on corporations..most of them could give a rats ass about Joe Blow..it's all about the guys on top making $$$
remember those days when we cared about education and buying most of our stuff that said"made in the USA" let's bring back those jobs even if it takes a pay cut..
unemployment payouts is a joke..why work when the government is paying you not to..if they want a government check make em do something for it..
heathcare is big big money..preventive medicine is a start and getting rid of all the unnecessary bells and whistles..hell, I can get the same medical care in 3rd world countries for a fraction of the price..
the list could go on forever but my point is thinking that one party is better then the other is ludicrous..I'm a simple idiot and don't have a clue as to how to change this mess we're in but lets start at the top and vote out every single politician with some fresh new blood and demand some changes.. even small ones would be refreshing..

I think the hate between the hard right and left has always been there. It's just becoming more and more evident these days for obvious reasons. I don't claim to know how to completely change this mess either, but I can plainly see what ISN'T working and greed is the main proponent of all that is wrong today, and, pardon me for saying it but, one party blatantly represents the super rich and doesn't even see a problem with it. Hence...the hate.

They both represent the Super rich, just one lies and claims it doesn't and then sticks it too you in secret(Democrats).

Democrats will raise marginal rates to trick you into thinking they care, then pass a whole host of loopholes and then blame the Republicans.

Well lets just see your "goals"

Basically crippling our ability to honor our treat commitments which require the ability to put boots on the ground anywhere in the world within 72 hours. Obama already announced cuts equally half a trillion, now you want to cut it by MORE?

That is pretty much most foreign aid.

Well considering Congress is locally elected, you'll have to take that up with the individual voters in the individual districts. We don't have a parliamentary system so just replacing an entire Government is well nigh impossible. Senate are state elected.

The Constitution says that groups have a right to lobby Congress for redress of grievances. You can't just "get rid of" (*)(*)(*)(*) by fiat. Our system doesn't work the way you would like it to, it just doesn't.

I prefer the Ryan plan modified "progressive" flat rate myself.

What do you mean "clean up"? If you break the law you go to jail, why do you have such a problem with that?

No, 70% of America supports it still, so your stuck with it.

Police are a local, not a national matter. You think you have too many cops on your streets then lobby for your local Government to cut the police force, I bet your neighbors fight you on it.

What do you mean "careful eye"? What do you want some Government bureaucrat to sit on the board of every corporation in America and threaten them with Government?

Wahh.. Go cry to mommy, it's called Progress, otherwise known as globalization.

Well that is the bureaucrats fault for not keeping a closer eye on their cases, these people are supposed to be looking for a job, unfortunately Democrats have made "looking for a job" mean "signing up on a website"

No, you can't "get the same medical care in the 3rd world" it would be vastly inferior with a dirty hospital, short staff, and no easy access to drugs and medications like we have in America. America has "on demand" medical care, who are you to say "ration health care and make it not on demand" when so many Americans expect it that way?

I don't see any need to vote out my politician. He's doing exactly what I voted him into office to do, obstruct Obama's leftwing agenda and keep America at least partly laissez faire.

It's not so much the people in office that are corrupt, its the system that makes them that way once they get there. Put all new ones in office and they'll look just like this bunch in a few months.
