Why?

    Politics usually consists of a lot of details, and no significant questions.

    Why has the US gone to war against Russia?
    Because Russia did X.
    Why did Russia do X?
    Because the US did Y.

    and so on.

    But go back to the root causes.

    1. Why would Russia want to conquer the U.S.?
    I can't think of a good reason, other than maybe to protect itself against future attack.
    Or, maybe it's about resources. Russia regrets selling Alaska.

    2. Why would the U.S. want to conquer Russia?
    Russia is making a lot of money selling gas to Western Europe and the big petro companies would like a cut in that profit.
    And the US weapons makers always want war because it makes money for them.

    And so on.
    Getting back to the motives always helped in solving crimes, and it also helps the public understand politics.
