Interesting things to consider ..... Global economy, Global advance, urbanization etc.. Will the Bedouin exist 20 years from now ? The End of a Way of Life. http://www.academia.edu/1427764/Khaldun_and_the_Bedouin_-_The_End_of_a_Way_of_Life
14th century? Doesn't sound like he traveled much.. He completely missed the symbiotic relationship between Bedouin and those who lived in villages.
Palestinians are Bedouin, they should move on with their camels toward Jordan. The Only solution to the M.E is Palestine = Jordan !!
They aren't Bedouin anymore than Jews are guilty of blood libel. How much more land do the Zionists want?
The bedouin culture has been declining for awhile. I saw something about this on a travel type show a bit back. I suspect that before it goes completely, we will see a movement toward a more modern bedouin culture not dissimilar to the Travelers in the UK who are more symbolic gypsies than what their predecessors were..
Didn't mean to imply they were. I just expect to see a similar dynamic play out in the Bedouin world as has played out with the Travelers.
The Bedouin have been changing for 50 years.. Some leave the life.. Some buy water trucks and use the camps along their old grazing routes that the SAG has set up for them in perpetuity. The camps have water, fuel, satellite discs, small playgrounds.. They graze their herds and move on. In 20 years they will probably have assimilated and be few in number.
How much more land do the Arabs want ?? You have 52 Muslim and Arab countries. You slowly but surely occupy Europe.
They sure did when they expelled 850000 Jews from their lands in Arab countries during the Jewish Nakba.
More like 600,000.. and they would still be living in the Arab world if not for the European Zionists.
Drew, the Arab Jews left in waves... in 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973. Its a shame.. I think they contributed a lot to the Arab world. Zionism has harmed a lot of people. Did you borrow the word Nakba?
Nakba Day (Arabic: يوم النكبة Yawm an-Nakba, meaning "Day of the Catastrophe") is generally commemorated on 15 May, the day after the Gregorian calendar date for Israeli Independence Day (Yom Ha'atzmaut). For the Palestinians it is an annual day of commemoration of the displacement that preceded and followed the Israeli Declaration of Independence in 1948. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nakba_Day
Israelis LOVE Israel, they are proud of their beautiful country. Your words sure sounds like Arab FRUSTRATION .
Half were expelled ? Only 425000 men women and children were actually expelled by the Arab govt ? How many ( to your knowledge ) Arabs left Israel in 1948 ? - - - Updated - - - Who is they ? Those who murdered Jesus ? Ahh Ya Arab - Allah will take care of all those who lie.
