You meant to say that GWB's recession increased the debt to GDP ratio?

    Because it stabilized under Obama.

Thank you, President Obama, for setting up such a robust economic recovery that has, so far, resisted Dirty Donnie's ignorant and uninformed efforts ( i.e. trade war).

Oh no, Trump hasn't solved all decades old problems in the first 1.5 year of his administration, just 80% of them, he hasn't fulfilled all his campaign promises yet, just 70% of them. Bad Trump. Duh, you leftists are so grasping at straws that it's no longer funny, it's embarrassing really.

    Let me clue you in

    Priority #1
-GDP, taxes, unemployment, wage growth, stock market - all taken care of
-Trade agreements - in progress, partially completed

    Priority #2
-debt, deficits - not yet started, Trump has 6 more years to take care of them.

For eight long years everything that happened was the fault of Bush . Now we will have eight years where everything that happens was Obama's good work. Lol

You is "ridding the wagon" and whatbpercenrage of our GDP is each group of "riders" riding?

Are retired military people riders ?
Are disabled military men ( yes women too before I get tagged as a sexist) wagon riders?
    Are Medicare recipient riders?
    Tricameral recipients?
    Social Security recipients?
    Medicare?
    Social security disability recipients?
    Welfare recipients?
    Retired government employees?
    Retired teachers?
    National guard and Reservists?
    Active military?

What the OMB needs to do is calculate what percent of the budget goes to these groups. Then we can sit down discuss and agree which of these groups are " wagon rider" .
Then define what a "wagon rider" is.
Are "wagon riders" those who had never contributed to the budget? - I would think so.... do you?

Should anyone who has never contributed to the tax coffers never recove any funds or services from us the government?

Should there be no welfare ?

Since we are an all volunteer military force these days should thosevwho get wounded and disabled in the military service not get compensation?

How about military retirement pay for an all volunteer force is that welfare?

Is Conressional retirement ( pension) pay welfare?

Is a president's pension a form of welfare?

    What is welfare?

No I am not expecting you or anyone else to answer all of of those questions but I would expect that people think about what programs such as SS , Medicare, Congressional pensions, military retirement .

I just want to provoke thinking.

    You noticed that, too?

Another thing I've noticed is that "progressives" suddenly pretend to care about deficits and the debt, but the last thing you'll find them doing is contacting their Democratic reps and telling them to cut spending...

Let me get this straight...the economy has achieved in a way that obama said was not possible and you still want to give him credit for it?

Sorry, obama doubled the debt and has virtually nothing to show for it economically. He didn't achieve anything.

I'll have the same criticisms of the current congress if they don't get spending under control over the next 2 years. I see zero chance of that happening if the left gets control of either the senate or the house. They'll refuse to cut spending just so they can use it against the right in the 2020 elections. A list of the lefts goals: 1. power. If they get another goal worth mentioning i'll add it to the list but for now, it's all they care about.

Right... Trump took over Obama's used Corolla, put in a Ferrari engine, the car is now doing 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds and Obama is boasting "look at my Corolla go" duh

On the contrary VERY U.S.Republican President since and including Reagan has had ever increasing budget deficits while both Clinton and Obama after his initial 2009 spiking of the deficit have had decreasing budget deficits.Axios recently had a graph depicting and describing these clear differences of who did and did not continually operate with huge defecits.Conservatives every time prove they ARE NOT FISCAL CONSERVATIVES!!

Turns out the real issue with the US economy was Barrack Obama. Once that was removed from the equation and real leadership and economists were allowed to work, things have taken off again.

    Thank God for Trump.

They were back to work when it was Bush43 and the Republicans, 52 months of mostly full unemployment, rising incomes, steady LFPR. Let's not dare put the Democrats back in charge at the Congress and turn that back into the Democrats 2007-2015.

Defleck and derail the best you got?

So do you support Trump's directive to the cabinet to find ways to cut their spending 5%? Will you support a budget that does so? What is it you think the Democrats will do to cut the deficit and get us back into a surplus like the Republicans had us or close too it?
