“The incident in question reportedly took place in March, when a student announced a preference of "they" and "them" to identify them.

But Rabidoux said her son was merely sticking up for one of his friends.

"She had been screaming at one of Braden’s friends to use proper pronouns, calling him profanity, and this friend is very soft-spoken, and kind of just sunk down into his chair," Rabidoux said. "Braden finally came up, defending him, saying ‘He doesn’t have to use proper pronouns, it’s his constitutional right to not use, you can’t make him say things.’"

"The KASD prohibits all forms of bullying and harassment in accordance with all laws, including Title IX, and will continue to support ALL students regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital status, parental status, sexual orientation, sex (including transgender status, change of sex or gender identity), or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability ("Protected Classes") in any of its student programs and activities; this is consistent with school board policy. We do not comment on any student matters," Ebert (school superintendent) said.”

This is patently absurd. These people are insane. Tell us again how y’all just want to be left alone. Keep it up and Obergfell is gonna be next.

How did so many far left people end up working in our school system? Those people go way over the top trying to protect the feelings of a microscopically small number of people all while making millions of kids feel guilty about their white privilege. They don’t want people to have hurt feelings over pronouns but they have zero problems with calling people racists, bigots, haters, and more. This crap needs to stop.

Stopping children from harassing other children needs to stop? Let me guess, the right is now pro-bullying to go with their pro-forced birth agenda?

I can - and have - dealt with a girl who wants to be called by male pronouns. I have more important issues to deal with. But someone who wants to be called "they" is just too far for me. "They" is a plural pronoun, damnit! Unless you're Moon Knight, make up something else and stop annoying my inner English teacher!

That’s not what I said. I’m saying if this type of behavior continues to happen you’re going to see a backlash that goes far beyond telling transgenders we’re not going to use their pronouns whether they like it or not.

I notice you didn’t seem to have a problem with that kid bullying and intimidating the other kid into using the “right” pronouns.

No unlike the moron in the story I’m actually referring to multiple people.

You know.. I’m using the English language as it’s supposed to be used.

Jesus you’re a teacher and don’t know “they” isn’t always plural?!
Want 100 examples where it isn’t?

ONE person in class wishing to be called "THEY" is not one of those examples though. At that point I'll just call said person by name. And yeah, we did get someone in my school pissed because another teacher said "Hand him these pencils," and the student said "I'm THEY!"

The use of the word "they" or "them" to describe a singular person is not only ridiculous, it is seriously grammatically incorrect. Any teacher who encourages and/or enables it is not doing their job, and if it's a trend that continues, perhaps they should be replaced with someone who will.

And that goes doubly true for administrators.

It's no different whatsoever than telling students, "It's okay little Johnny if you think one plus one equals three, after all it's more important that you "feel good" about your answer than that you are actually correct."

The same should apply to he and she, especially when it comes to middle-schoolers because even if they "feel" they're a different gender, they've taken no steps to become one, nor should they be allowed to until at a minimum of 18 years.

All that said, it has nothing at all to do with same sex marriage, which is, as it should be, legal under the 14th Amendment.

Hand them these pencils. That’s hard?
When my wife says “someone from the school called.”
I say “what did they say”
    Only one person called.

They is common English for one person when you don’t know their gender.

Where did I say that? I pretty much pointed out the left’s hypocrisy.

I would ask you if you comprehended what bullying was but you just showed you don’t so I will abstain.

Asking someone to refer to you as something isn’t harassment.

    That’s bullying.
