Eliminate time and all things collapse on themselves. Although this is the way things actually are, our minds are not capable of understanding in this manner and therefore a duality is created, e.g., this and that, up and down, slower and faster, older and younger, etc. None of these categories exists outside of our minds, as All is [truly] One.

Seems to me "collapse" is a time-specific word, without time, I don't really see how you can say that something collapses.

For someone who says we are not capable of understanding something, you sure present quite a bit of supposed understanding about it.

This is non-sensical to me. The conundrum of infinite regarding the nature and scope of the universe or universes, and time or lack thereof, is certainly something I have difficulty imagining a good solution for, though. At some point I mean to read Hawking's stuff to see if it helps it make more sense, but I have doubts it will.

The concept of existence only happens in our mind. The universe and everything in it as far as we know to this point is perceived strictly by humans.

So the framework we build to understand our experience is probably quite important.

Actually, we are not capable of understanding anything, but we do the best we can, just the same.

Nothing works the way we "think" it does as even the simplest of things is infinitely complex and far beyond our meager intellects to process.

You are correct. The good news is that there is no need to attempt to understand. Just observe without discrimination and you will gather all you need.

It's not psychobabble but can certainly be considered its first cousin.

If nothing is understandable how can you say words and think they mean anything?

I think they meant the core nature of the universe/time is unknowable/possibly incomprehensible to us. That doesn’t preclude understanding smaller scale things, though. Or appreciating it all

Seems like a simplistic understanding of how we think. We are able to simplify, model, conceptualise, etc., and we are capable of keeping track of how much we have simplified.

When I say I eat an apple, I'm interacting with my conceptualisation of an apple, and I don't need to understand the details of how an apple work or what the nature of reality is to say that I ate an apple.

Time is an artificial abstract measuring stick nothing more.
Obviously our minds are capable since we invented time as a measuring stick.
Because we observed and labeled our observations hardly means those things do not exist.

yep all too often peoples imaginations take simple things beyond absurd extremes, we see it in this section all the time. Speaking of which I should really reply to one of my threads that I have become somewhat bored with due to precisely that.

yep I agree, perception/awareness cannot exist outside some kind of sensory system that can create an applicable construct.

Exactly. The intellect is only a tool [and a not very sharp one at that]. Thinking is absolutely necessary in conducting everyday life but you have to understand its limits [which are great]. Those who do are able to live lives much freer and with a great deal more contentment.

Understanding the nature and limits of the human intellect is the most important achievement you can make in this life.

Yes we can label and communicate such on a very basic level, but this has little to do with understanding. Look at all the amazing things that other species do on a regular basis without having the capacity to understand.

True understanding is way beyond our intellectual abilities for all kinds of reasons, the most obvious being that which is knowable is ALWAYS changing [as are the inputs that make it what it is are in constant flux, as well].

The only case you can make for their existence is in your own mind [and it's a pretty weak case, at that].

does it even exist how do you know it's all human perception.
how do you know you can understand that it's all human perception.

Well you said that made it to where it's not possible for us to understand anything how are you able to use language if you can't understand anything?
