Okay, there's a third alternative. Somebody is completely ignorant

What possible difference could a few verses from your book make, in the face of talking snakes and all the rest of it? especially when the verses come from the same book which claims snakes talk. That's like saying that your lack of faith in the rabbit's fob watch is down to your failure to read alice in wonderland correctly.

When one knows ahead of time that something will be needed one prepares it.

The fact that Adam was surprised to find his eyes opened to morality and a good dress code shows that there was no awareness of what was to happen upon gaining the knowledge that God has in the moral sense.

Myths are subject to various interpretations.

It takes quite a swollen ego for one to think their truth is the only truth.

Especially when the authors of that myth, the Jews, already had an older take on the myth that Christianity reversed. The Jewish elevation of man became the fall to Christianity because of the money it would bring in.

Christianity is a corrupted religion. That is what literal reading has done to a good myth.
