None at all save the blockade is there to stay until Israel lifts it, not some frumpy housewives at the end of golf season.

Doubt it. What I see happening is they meet the IDF who calmly tells them to heave to and submit to inspection at a nearby port and end of story.

 

The idea is idiotic! While they may hate some "Jews" (and "Christians", and "atheists" and anyone else) who is responsible for the policies and crimes being committed in the name and in pursuit of the projects pursued by Israel, there is nothing about being a "Jew" by itself that would make anyone have any particular animus toward Jews. The world has changed quite a bit since the times when real anti-Semitic sentiments were promoted in what is becoming the distant past. Indeed, the kind of people who once promoted anti-Semitic sentiments are now busy (in concert with many pro Israeli zealots) in promoting anti-Muslim sentiments and Islamophobia. The fact that Israel has formed an alliance with Saudi Arabia, the sponsor of the most virulently backward and dangerous ideas taking up an Islamic label, I guess facilitates the enterprise on not just the geopolitical level but also at the propaganda level by helping these deranged groups become more powerful and, in the process, to make it easier for the average mind in the west equate being a Muslim to being one of these deranged Jihadi criminals (criminals whose whose emergence and power rests in no small measure on the support they got from the policies pursued by the US/Israel/Saudi Arabia and company).

No, he just sees throu the BS, see the thing about Jew hatred and Muslims hatred is the blind hatred toward ppl one never met simply because of the group they belong to, that's the whole horrific logic behind racism, and you and others do the exact same thing down to the global domination and media control which used to be pinned on Jews - on Israel and basiclly you accuse the same group - and that's why you get most of the racists support here, the demonization against Muslims, Jews and Israel stand at the same root, and so you cant hate a group and lecture others about their hate.

 

I am confident that I have no animus against Jews. My personal experience with most Jews, whether American Jews or Iranian Jews, have been quite positive. Whatever I say about the influence of pro Israeli groups, not Jews, in American politics, is based on what I consider overwhelming evidence and the facts as I see them. That is just the way it is in America. The same way you had a very disproportionate influence in Florida by exiled Cuban Americans and the lobbies and groups they sponsored. To point that out is not to be 'racist' about anti-Castro Cubans either!

 

So do those same people hate and condemn Assad's Syria and Russia?

 

G-d willing the women should reach Gaza's shore today. Fingers crossed.

IIsrael intercepts anti-Israel flotilla without incident

The Israeli navy, headed by women members, intercepted a ship carrying 13 pro-Palestinian female activists trying to break Israel’s naval blockade of the Gaza Strip.

According to an IDF statement, “In accordance with government directives and after exhausting all diplomatic channels, the Israeli Navy redirected the vessel in order to prevent breach of the lawful maritime blockade.

“In accordance with international law, the Israeli Navy advised the vessel numerous times to change course prior to the action,” the statement continued. “Following their refusal, the Navy visited and searched the vessel in international waters in order to prevent their intended breach of the lawful maritime blockade of the Gaza Strip. The visit and search of the vessel was uneventful.”

Having left two weeks ago from Barcelona, the group included Mairead Maguire, an Irish Nobel Peace Prize laureate who supports the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Upon arrival in Ashdod, the IDF will search for smuggled items and weapons and check the participants’ documents, after which they will be deported. No humanitarian aid was found.

A second ship had left Barcelona as well but was forced to turn back due to engine trouble.

The women claim that they want to support the women of Gaza who, they say, have been suffering over the past 10 years due to the Israeli blockade. It was in 2006 that the terrorist Hamas regime took control of the Strip after a complete Israeli withdrawal a year earlier.

As explained by Virtual Jewish Library, “Despite the terror onslaught, Israel continues to supply electricity and water to the Palestinian people, and these plants are sometimes hit by the rockets fired by Hamas from within the Gaza Strip, cutting power to thousands. Since the beginning of 2013, over 20,000 truckloads of supplies from Israel have crossed into Gaza for consumption and use by the citizens. These supplies include meat, vegetables, canned foods, medical supplies, fuel, water, medical equipment, animal food, school supplies, and cosmetic products. The Palestinian Authority [also ]accuses Hamas of stealing thousands of liters of fuel from local Gazan companies and then telling the media that there is a fuel shortage. Fatah members also claim that Hamas is lying about the fuel shortage ‘crisis’ for propaganda.”
