First, because of these modern times we live in, let me say this is not about ALL women, nor is it particularly limited to women, many metrosexual males would fall into this category, but if you respond as tho' I am speaking of ALL women, then you are exactly the kind of woman (or wuss) who should NOT be on a jobsite.
However, most women can not even properly occupy a jobsite.. that requires knowing were to stand. Furthermore women can screw up a job faster than a bulldozer, and the better looking she is the more chaos that will ensue (typical males will loose concentration, stop thinking with their heads and start thinking with their little heads.) The other thing is, workmen can be pouter than any little girl when it comes to their work ethic and their work ("if you don't know what's wrong then I'm not going to try to explain it to you!" would be part of that! LOL )

My son worked a project that was over seen by a female (a really hot one at that) who had NO idea of what she was doing. She has now precipitated multi-million lawsuits over the project. Part of the problem is women assuming as to how a man would do a particular job or project... they are usually wrong. The only way to do that is spend time with experienced people who do know what they are doing. The main problem was she thought she'd tighten down the job .. do a little nut cutting and "save some money" by "renegotiating the contracts" , news flash, there is a reason why these jobs go out for bid and why there should be a good set of plans and specification; those are what the contractors work from and they are NOT to be changed.. in other words , let the pros do their job. The only thing an owner's supervisor should do is make sure the job is done according to plan and spec. and if their is an error in the plan and spec, take the concerns to the architects and engineers.

Removed a fallen tree branch this morning with my tractor, my wife was in the yard flailing her arms ever time I made a move. I had to sit until she went back inside. Then I removed the branch without damaging her plants or any of the surrounding structures.

I am generally in half-agreement, but there are women who are practically like men with female body parts.
And they do exist in the construction industry.

yeah,, that was in my disclaimer.. and more of them all the time, I was talking about people more like Daniel there, who might get dirty and fuss, or backed over by a backhoe because he doesn't realize that no one knows how intelligent and self important he is. (or cares)

That's often my job.. I don't like tripping over debris, so I sweep that into a pile; but I do like a nice coat of construction dust on everything... looks like progress.

This is a good place to cite an example of women on the jobsite.. my dear sweet wife went in and did a cleaning of one of our rentals.. at the start of the project. I had to pull down old broken sheetrock that was the ceiling, … I also pulled down a lot of fine dust that had been collecting in the attic space for around 35 years.
that's not to mention all of the drywall compound that ended up on the floor (which we are pulling up anyway).
Scheduling the work is very important.. clean up comes LAST!
