Do you think there should be stricter gun laws regarding women. Its been scientifically proven that a womens mood is likely to be unpredictable. Major hughts, lows and it all changes quite rapidly. Also after considering the monthly cycle has on mood, lashing out, irrational angry episodes e.t.c.

Should all these factors be taken into consideration when licencing a gun?

No. That is future crimes and guilty until proven innocent. No one should have their right to access to the means of effective self defense restricted outside of due process of the law

Technically, women are not covered by the second amendment. It refers to the right of the militia. The militia is defined in US Code as able-bodied men between the ages of 18 and 45, discluding many adults from any right to access or 'bear' arms. Realistically, no politician would ever attempt to enforce this definition on women, the elderly or the physically disabled- as such would rightfully be immediate political suicide. It would be nice if we could change the definition to be more inclusive, but there is no danger it will be enforced literally which means its not a can of worms worth bothering.

Women almost never commit crime with firearms. It would make no more sense to restrict their access while men commit the vast majority of firearm related crime than it would to restrict rifles while the vast majority of firearm related crime involves pistols.

    Neither effectively promotes public safety.

I agree maybe only allowing women to own pepper spray would be the safest option.

    The 14th amendment corrected that.

But men are just as likely as women to be attacked by a bear, which pepper spray is at least as effective against as the most commonly carried firearms.

Perhaps. However the 14th amendment makes no alteration of the definition of the militia, of which the 2A applies.

The 2nd amendment has nothing to do with a militia. The right to own and bear arms is unconnected from service in any militia. Dc v Heller

One of the most retarded ideas I ever heard, given that the RKBA is a logical consequence of the right to self-defense, and that women obviously need firearms for self-defense more than men do.

As modernpaladin pointed out the best defense against a bear is pepper spray.

So the best Bear Arms is pepper spray there for women do not need to be issued guns to stay offective in a fight say with a grizzly bear.

So more facts why women do not need to own guns.

Well what are you going to say to the parent of a boy that gets shot because he broke up on a girlds monthly sensitive time.

Or the girl who got a gun legally and wasent good at reading technical drawings and is now missing a left eye.

    Its not safe...

Thats a difference in the letter of the law and its application to society. OIOW, it means that restricting able bodied men 18 to 45 from access to firearms is unlawful, and restricting others is illegal.

    No it isn’t.

Restricting any US citizen absent due process, is unconstitutional

Anyone unconscious (ie in a coma) should not be able to apply for a gun.

It would make a lot more sense to ask what I'd say to your parents who obviously let your little sister beat you up.
